DenCity - AC/DC Town
A calm peaceful town, AC/DC Town is a suburb of the larger DenCity, and a wonderful place for growing minds. Peaceful, calm, and with an extraordinarily low crime rate, AC/DC is the home of some of the most promising young NetBattlers, and the foremost PET and NetNavi scientists, Doctor Hikari. Various small houses are scattered throughout the neighborhood, and the large elementary school in the north provides the main focus of social activity for the many kids in town. A small store near the school sells Battle Chips to NetNavi owners, the proprietor a former member of the World Three.
A small house at the south end of town is the home to Doctor Hikari and his son, the famous NetBattler Lan Hikari.

Something is not right in AC/DC Town. The normally semi-busy streets are empty, save for the park... where a random 17-year-old girl is beating at a massive werewolf with her fists, doing nothing. The werewolf holds her tight, holding her up to a cloaked figure to inspect... "Yes, she will do nicely." The Warlock Lord's evil voice rolls across the park, and the girl struggles even harder to get away. The werewolf begins to drag her to a portal of dark mist hanging in the air...
Lady A has a habit of being where you'd least expect her to be...her being a reknowned Zone traveler. So at this point, she's patrolling the typically rather peaceful town of AC/DC....finding it...a bit TOO peaceful. Her brows furrow at the quiet streets. Something isn't right here...and, then, a scream distracts her.
But that is not what the Warlock Lord sees. He sees only the heroic last minute entrance Lady A is known for. And hears, evenly spoken above the screams, the voice of the elder Gamemaster, whose blaster gun is leveled at his werewolf minion. "Drop her, creep," Lita threatens.
The Warlock Lord turns a faceless gaze over toward Lady A. "Ah, Lady A. We meet once more. Continue on your business, Argan. Jesrek, deal with the Gamemaster." From the roof of a nearby building, a silver-collared werewolf lunges at Lita.

She was expecting an underhanded trick. Lita dives out of the way of the pouncing werewolf, rolling on the ground, and righting herself immediately. "I said.... DROP HER." However, the werewolves are just a bit too close for comfort... so, rather than firing with the readied blaster, Lady A runs for the first werewolf, the one still trying to kidnap the girl. With the paddle strapped to her arm, she makes a downward swing, right for the back of his leg, trying to injure him enough to hold him back. Her other arm is ready to catch whatever he might drop...

The werewolf snarls as Lady A swings at him, leaping forward. He faces her, beginning to back up toward the portal...
And the Warlock Lord joins the party! He springs off the jungle gym which he was perching on, floating toward Lady A with speed. "Stay out of this... you have no business here." His hood falls back as he swings his staff at her.

Lady A is struck...in the face! The nerve! "Anywhere injustice is done in Videoland... It is MY business." The kid gloves are off now. Lady A grabs right on to the end of the staff, and pulls on it, twisting it in its owner's grasp. The bottom end of the weapon has a striking surface she can use, and, the easiest place to manuever the strike to, is, unfortunately for her opponent, right up between the Warlock's legs...if Lady A's grip is good enough.

The bottom end of the staff doesn't so much have a striking surface as RIPPING CLAWS. Realizing what Lady A's about, Talimar quickly substitutes his leg for the previous target, wincing in pain as the clawed end slices into his thigh. "Get... off..." A dark, choking mist exudes from the Warlock Lord and his staff, creating a cloud.

Lady A gasps. The attack not as effective as she hoped, the cloud of darkness overtakes her, bringing her, choking, to her knees. She pulls back, struggling to breathe...but she's not taken down just yet. Pulling her blaster back into her hands, she aims and fires for the tip of the staff, one single blast aimed at the magical weapon.

The Warlock Lord drops the staff like a bolt as the blaster shot hits hit, having no visible effect. Clearly, something unseen happened to him. As the staff explodes into a mass of snakes, the Warlock Lord holds a hand forward, palm up, and blows across it. Powder swirls up, becoming sharp needles which streak toward the senior Gamemaster.

Lady A's shot must have damaged more than she thought it would. Seeing the Warlock slow, she's easily able to dash aside from the needle attack, and get herself some much needed air. But...she halts.... her real objective...what became of the innocent girl? Lady
Lady A needs a way to buy herself some time...and do do that, she reaches for one of her personal weapons. ... All Gamemasters have joysticks, after a fashion, but the Lady's isn't readiliy visible. Flipping the oldfashioned Atari controller out of what could only be a compartment in her paddle, she holds down both of the Trigger buttons. While the scene does not SLOW, as it does during a 'Pause,' it does become saturated with unusually bright, flat colors, greens and reds that bother the Lady not in the least, but might startle the vision of anyone used to something 'more.'

The Warlock Lord finds himself slowing down... he's not _THAT_ high-res... hork, he's 8-bit! It still messes him up a bit, though.
The werewolf is halfway through the portal when the slowdown hits.
Lady A doesn't play around for long. The controller dropped back into its compartment, Lita lunges for the wolf, determined despite her smaller stature to take the beast down and rescue the kidnapped girl. Things revert back to ordinary saturation just as Lady A reaches to grab the werewolf by his collar, and hold him back.

The Warlock Lord drops to the ground once the slowdown ends, confused. The werewolf, however, was far too dumb to realize exactly what was happening. He pushes the girl aside, who falls to the ground, shaking in shock and fear, and lunges for Lady A with the rage that only a very offended werewolf can manage.

Lady A rolls aside, ever so BARELY missed by the falling hands that try to smash her into the ground. "RUN!" she shouts at the girl. Then, her back still on the ground, she does the most logical thing she can think of. The wolves are controlled by the Warlock Lord, so without his orders... Lita aims her Berserk Blaster, and, this time, fires off a series of shots at the Warlock, to strike him, and ruin his concentration.

The Warlock Lord holds his arms up, shielding himself from as much of the barrage as he can. Which is to say, not that much. "You are a pest..." He rubs his hands together after the barrage has passed, and he sends a shockwave through the ground, knocking the few werewolves, the almost-to-her-feet girl, and hopefully Lady A off the ground.

"And you are a fiend." Lady A kipupps to her feet just in time for the shockwave to pass beneath her. "Back to your castle, Warlock. I give you one last chance." The white, almost fake-sounding blast from her primitive gun cuts through the air, striking out at one of the Warlock's raised hands.

The Warlock Lord summons his staff once more with a flash, creating a magic barrier that halts the bolt. "You giving _me_ the last chance? I laugh at your foolishness..." He thrusts the staff forward, sending the barrier at Lady A, forcefully.

Lady A tries to hold out her paddle to take the damage from the blast, but the barrier strikes her, hitting her entire body. She holds her ground this time, wincing, until the attack is over. She glares at the Warlock. ...What's his weakness? No time for strategy now... She careens forward, hoping his physical body isn't as strong as his impressive magic. Her paddle weapon raises, and she strikes out at the Warlock's face, putting all of her strength behind the blow.

The Warlock Lord isn't there as Lady A swings the paddle. She instead blunders into a cloud of black mist that simply will not dissipate. "Foolish girl... you cannot hope to face me moving with such lethargy." Talimar's otherworldly voice seems to be coming from everywhere at once, and so do the black-swirled flames that rain down at the Gamemaster.

Lady A holds her weapon over her head, and, empowered somehow, it seems impervious to the attack, providing her with an umbrella. "I laugh at those who would call me a mere 'girl.'" she says. Seeing...nothing, to strike at, she aims her blaster nonetheless. This time, the single shot flies straight as...well... an arrow.

The Warlock Lord grunts as the arrow flies into him, but it's far from over. "That was... unpleasant. But I'm sure you'll find yourself the worse for wear after this..." He takes a large orange gem out from the recesses of his cloak... the Chaos Emerald! He pushes off the ground, floating up. "When darkness falls, this spell shall light the way! Illumina Illuminak!" A flash of light breaks forth, and it becomes focused by the Emerald into a kind of laser spear, screaming toward Lady A.

The Emerald! Lady A sees the vaunted 'powerup' for the first time, and has little time to think.
Luckily, she has one skill that has already served her today, and that she hopes will serve her again. Her reflexes. Without even thinking, she reaches her arm out for the emerald beam, and SMACKS it with her paddle weapon, throwing it right back at the Warlock from whence it originated.

The Warlock Lord catches the beam back within the Emerald. "You think your Pong tricks will work in the battlefield? This is not some idle game! ZAKRAN!" A werewolf rushes out of a bush at Lady A, trying to pin her to the ground... Talimar fires a small orb at the girl, who is once again struggling to her feet.

Lady A is too quick. The werewolf attacks, and she dives aside, rushing away, not fearing for her own safety, but trying to buy the innocent some extra time. As The Warlock Lord charges up his stun attak to take down the girl, Lita rushes into him with a shoulder-tackle, a simple maneuver as she tries to knock him off balance. Her charge distracts him enough that his spell misfires...

The Warlock Lord staggers back, and watches the girl escape out of the corner of his eye. "...damn you... I'll succeed in the end." He vanishes into dark mist.
Lady A rights herself as the Warlock departs. Then, she heads out for some rest...or at least a place to 'charge up.'
