On Android Souls
[A bit cut out of the top of this log, just me and Magnet Man making plans to come out where, while Metal Man has the old lady distracted on the radio.]
Seoul - United Nations Plaza
It is here that most of the world's decisions are made. The kind of power here reflects in the architecture, with the HUGE UN building that holds the General Assembly. Blue and dome shaped in design, it is the only one in the world of its kind, and workplace to the thousands that work here. The perimeter of the General Assembly building is surrounded the flags of every country that has a seat, which is nearly everyone. Outside are a number of other large office buildings, ranging from delegate bureau's, to the Headquarters of the UN Police, to a Repliforce office. Constantly patrolled and guarded by UN Police, safety is among an utmost concern after the infamous April Fools Day Massacre. Despite that, the place is a very safe environment.

Magnet Man has arrived.
Deirdre Garneau is busy scowling into the radio.
Matthias Vladimir rolls his eyes slightly as the senator does not help and extends his hand to Sewa. "A pleasure to meet you child, I am Ambassador Vladimir and this is Senator Garneau." Yep he still doesn't use the child's name.
Sewa reaches up to shake Vladimir's hand, "Hi Vladimir...I, um, mean Ambassador...", she glances towards Garneau curiously, "Um...is she okay?"
Deirdre Garneau does however stop scowling to promptly introduce herself. "I'm Madame Garneau Canadian Senator, to the United Nations, mon ami." She extends her hand towards Sewa as well.
Deirdre Garneau receives a radio transmission.
Deirdre Garneau
An Old Lady in her 50s, she has her hair done up and in a bun. Her brown eyes are nice and seemingly thoughtful.
She is wearing a Purple Blouse with a light forest green long skirt.
Matthias Vladimir
Standing before you a rather tall man of Swiss descent. If anything he looks to be around his mid 30's. Tall and slender, he stands over 6 feet and weighs approximately 160 pounds. His face is narrow and square and his blue eyes remain dark and uncaring. Though very handsome there is something about him. Something that has yet to be told.

It seems a bit early in the day, or late in the night, for tourists to be wandering the street. Yet the young man that wanders onto the capitol grounds seems to be just that, taking assorted photographs of the well-lit building, frowning into the digital display on his camera, then taking a few more.
Deirdre Garneau puts the radio away, and sighs. "I'm sorry, child, but a... ruffian was troubling me any my affairs, you understand, oui?"
Sewa lets of Mat's hand to shake Deirde's hand as well, "Hi Madame Garneau! I'm Sewa! How are you today?", she smiles at the senator simply. And then she pauses and then nods, "Yeah, I understand. Lots of people are really rude sometimes."
The tourist gets a good solid photograph of the pair mid hand-shake.
Sewa
Compared to Ditz Pinkmouse and Psych Mosquito, she is very tall and indeed big. Compared ot General and Ride Armor, she is quite very small. However, all in all, this girl is more on the short side because she's actually only 4 feet and 5 inches tall. This is an excusable fault because size does not matter and Mavericks come in all shapes and sizes but what's this!? She's only a ten year old girl! And to make matters worse, she's human!...Or not...At least, she looks like one and that's bad enough!
To make matters worse, she's extremely realisticly made. Not only does she wear no armor, unless you consider a dress as armor, but she has no internal weaponry and little internal equipment so but to the most sophisticated scanners she is but a human. Her silver hair splashes down to the bottom of her neck. It is fairly unkempt as her bangs are wildly despersed and a couple bangs even pass in front of her right eye. The hair at the back of her neck is often straight but every so often you can see a small infinitesimal curl. Set around her head is a u-shaped-silverish headset. From the top of the headset pop out two purple, plush, cat ears. Since both the headset and her hair are the same color, the only clue of its existence are the small spikes of hair that poke over it but don't quite fall back down to join with the rest of the hair.
Her neck is fully bare save for a thin cord which is hung around her neck. The two lengths of the cord slowly travel towards each other until they come to a rather mediocre seeming grey camera which rests above her stomach area.
She wears a forest green dress which almost reaches down to her knees. She also wears sandals. She also wears a scar that can be seen as bright as day. The Greek Letter: Sigma carved in her flesh, down her right leg...below the knee.
Matthias Vladimir blinkblinks and EYES Sewa. But when he finally notes that the child is speaking about the person Deirdre is talking about he lets it be.
And behind that tourist comes another one--a friend, apparently, dressed in blue jeans and a red shirt. He points as the first one moves the camera, seeming to murmur things to the other, just below the threshold of hearing--he ends up gesturing at Garneau and Sewa right as hs friend takes the snapshot. <"Psst.. hey, you just wanted to take pictures?">
The man with the camera shows off the display to his friend, pointing clearly at something on the screen. He pushes a few buttons on the digital output, and smiles a little, more to himself than the other.
Deirdre Garneau blinks at the flash, and nods. "Oui, espically, those soulless Beasts of Science and technology..."
You whisper, "Special pictures. Just watch." to Magnet Man
(@PEMIT)
Gemini Man points to the digital display, and zooms in on the image, pointing out the Sigma by Sewa's knee.
Matthias Vladimir grumbles with disgust and slowly shakes his head at the hag's words. "Annoying, are they not? And to think the senate will still continue to stand up for them despite the mishaps that has occurred here."
Sewagrins slightly, "Well, I dunno, I thought they would but I guess that if you're right then you would be able to see a reploid from a mile away since they are souless right?", she pauses, "Or even right next to you...I never -did- see a reploid I didn't know was one..."
Deirdre Garneau sniffs, "That only means they are good at hiding, my dear child, like ze dogs that they are. And by machine, I mean ALL of them. Reploids AND Androids. I hold no love of either... set of Machinery."
Deirdre Garneau pauses, "...And that also goes this new 'set' called Bioroids. Monsters, Soulless Monsters... all of them."
Sewa blinks for a moment, "Y'mean like acting all nice'n'stuff but really planning to do, uh, souless things, Miss...Madame."
The tourist fiddles with his camera, pressing a few more buttons on the display, then taking another picture of the lady senator. He snickers a little at what he overhears of Deirdre's speech. She'd be singing a different tune soon enough...
You take a holographic scan of Deirdre Garneau.
Deirdre Garneau blinks at the flash once more, but like before she ignores it. "Oui. They may be to be 'friends' and such... but they should all be on a leash, if not outright destroyed, like those filthy Mavericks and Robot Masters. Doppler should follow Wily to the grave and STAY there!" she brightens up once more as if getting the mess that happened on the radio out of her mind, "Do you want some Ice cream, little one? It would be my treat."
Sewa sends a radio transmission to Lucent.

Matthias Vladimir nods slowly in agreement with Deirdre but remains quiet.
Sewa sends a radio transmission to Lucent.
Magnet Man whispers: You got anything else in mind, bro?
You paged Sewa with 'Well, it's a Sigma. Says so in your desc. I'm one of the smarter RMs; I'm sure I know what that means. ;)'.
Sewa(Care) pages: easy to explain it though :D
You paged Magnet Man with 'Do you know what I did, ICly, BTW? Ie do you know how my equipment works?'.
Sewa blushes slightly. Can she control it or is she really blushing? Well, they -do- bother hate Robot Masters. Guess that's..something. She says, "I..um..sure, Madame...I mean...aren't you busy?"
You whisper, "What a B*TCH. ... No, that's really all. I just wanted a 'buffer' in case I couldn't utilize my clone. Thank you for tagging along. Metal Man has her distracted; I figured I might as well take the chance." to Magnet Man
Deirdre Garneau smiles, "The Assembly has been let out until tomorrow, dear. So it's no trouble for me, mon ami."
Matthias Vladimir sneers slightly and kicks a people of rubble on the ground. "That and we can not do much else since of this morning's attack. Wretched fiends.." His eyes slowly glare towards the movement of tourist before he sneers. "And it would figure that they are still giving out tours. This is why senator that Switzerland as a nation refuses to join forces with the UN. Once again they prove their failure by their numerous mistakes."
Magnet Man whispers: You gonna, like.. y'know, pop 'em?
You whisper, "Is that what you did before?" to Magnet Man
Sewa blinks, "Really? Oh..um...okay...then sure! If you're not busy doing important stuff...", she looks towards MAtthias, "Huh?", aww. She's confused. OR IS SHE? O_O
Magnet Man whispers: Earlier today? Naw.. we just stole some stuff. Some other guy got hurt.
Sewa receives a radio transmission from Lucent.
Deirdre Garneau regards Matthias, "I don't agree with it as well, if you want to talk to someone about giving tours when there's damage abounds, Monsieur Vladimir, talk to Madame Sec-Gen McLaren."
Matthias Vladimir really doesn't bother with answering the child before gazing back at Deirdre. "Yes yes of course, perhaps that is exactly what I will do."
Sewa says, "Wow! You talk to t he Secretary General? I never talked to the Secretary General before...She's really important, dad'n'mom say.".
Deirdre Garneau nods. "We all are. We're basically what's between those filthy machines do something like this...." she indicates the damage to the Plaza, "...To the whole world, mon ami."
You whisper, "I don't think it's a good idea right now. Even if we could get away with it...then they'd elect another senator, and so much for my scan. On the other hand, if we can get her on her own, that's a different story." to Magnet Man
The tourist seems to be greatly unhappy, almost as if he's holding something back, but, nevertheless, he turns to walk away.
His friend, however, waves cheerfully at the two Senators and the little girl before following the first one back down the street.
Sewa sighs softly, "...I don't see why they'd do that. An attack here can't really succeed anyway, there must be too many tough people around to beat them back...It's pointless."
You enter the Seoul - Tourist District.
Seoul - Tourist District
The glistening spires rise all around you. The towers of steel and glass twine into the sky like great serpents, shimmering and glistening. There are several businesses on every street, ranging from clothing to electronics. Everything gleams like metal, and hundreds of vehicles run constantly over the shinning roads. Giant trains run through the city regularly, like massive worms. Activity buzzes around you, this city never seems to sleep. Millions of people, reploids, and various other beings circulate into this city on a regular basis. Several reception stands, equipped with helper-drones, stand at the entrance to the tourist district. Activity is everywhere, for this is Seoul, the heart, brain, and capital of the world.

Magnet Man arrives from the Seoul - United Nations Plaza.
Magnet Man has arrived.
Magnet Man stuffs his hands in his pockets as he walks. "So, bro--you wanna impersonate that Senator chick or somethin'?"
Gemini Man responds, cooly, "If it's needed." Then, he spins around on Magnet Man, saying suddenly, "I know I don't have a soul. How about you?"
Magnet Man blinkblinkblinks, taken aback. He even takes a step back from his brother, mouth twitching into a faint frown. "I'd..." He pauses and casts his eyes to the ground. "I dunno. I'd never thought about it. But..." He shrugs, looking back up at Gemini. "I mean, what do you gotta have for it to be a soul? What's the.. the basics?"
Gemini Man meddles a little with the camera again, almost nervously, while he's talking. "Being something other than programming. Being unique, not recyclable." He glares at Magnet Man. "You don't actually WANT one, do you?"
Magnet Man runs a hand through his hair. "I... well, bro, it's... I dunno. It reminds me of Crys, a lot. I mean, aren't we all unique? Sure, we're.. y'know, AI, but I mean, think of it like this: say I got shot up, or I blew up or something. An' say Guts accidentally broke ERWIN, and dad lost my backup. He could start writin' the code again, but.. it wouldn't be /me/, you know? I would remember anything.. I might not even like the same things. I'd be a different guy, really."
Gemini Man shakes his head. "No, you wouldn't. Your code will be the same. We are not the sum of our experiences. We are BI-nary." He folds his arms over his chest. "And that is it."
Magnet Man says, "I don't know... I really don't. It just seems like that since we have memory, and feelings, and all... like, y'know, if you shoot up one of my brothers, I'm not going to like you, right? But if dad had to rebuild me, I wouldn't remember that.. it'd be like it had never happened.""
From behind Magnet Man, a voice says, "I'm the sum of my experiences." The identical twin stands next to Magnet Man, facing up with the debate. "Sometimes they're different from yours. Sometimes."
"If YOU want a soul, I officially give up," Gemini Man says.
"Crystal Man would probably agree with Magnet Man's observations. I'm only saying."
Magnet Man slowly looks to the side, a corner of his mouth flicking up at the unexpected support. "Well... bros... I think maybe... maybe it's just a personal thing?" He pauses to consider that. "Maybe... maybe some 'bots have 'em, some don't? It's.. kinda subjective, I guess."
"I'm sure you know what it's like to have an argument with yourself," the calmer twin suggests, by way of an explanation. "The problem with the idea of having a soul is that it has its consequences just like it has its rewards."
"Now you REALLY sound like Crystal Man," the other Gemini harrumphs.
"All part of being a pseudo-intellectual." The twin steps toward the other, and lays a hand on his shoulder. "It's not really a debate we can have an answer to...in our lifetime." He laughs eerily.
Magnet Man tilts his head, the scene before him taking on a sort of twisted, dreamlike unreality. "C'mon, bro," he directs to the first one. "Think about it? I mean.. what would you lose, right?" He takes a step forward, gesturing up at the sky. "I mean.. do you wanna be /just/ ones and zeroes? You never felt like there was something more?" He pauses. "Can you even have fun, or like things, or dislike things, if thre isn't more to you than computer code?"
Gemini Man, the original, asks, "I don't know. Can you?"
"You probably can. But we just don't like the idea of going to Hell," the twin says to Magnet Man. "Which, if religion has anything to say about it..."
"You can believe whatever religion you want," interrupts Gemini Man. "We'll just believe in ourselves and the Doc."
Magnet Man is silent for some time. "I believe in dad," he says after a while. "And... I dunno, aren't we trying to make things better?" He shrugs, frowning. "Why would the idea of Hell scare someone who's trying to make the world a better place?"
Gemini Man spits out the word, "SCARE? Don't be ridiculous."
"Because our methods are questionable," says the twin, "and I've never seen a religion that preached the ends justifying the means."
Magnet Man thrusts his hands deeper into his pockets. "That's.. well, that's a heavy thought." He quirks a half-smile for the twins. "I still kinda stand by what I said, but... I guess I'm also kinda undecided. It's... it's really worth thinking about. Thanks, bros." He glances up at the lightening sky. "C'mon.. let's get home. People are gonna be out soon..."
Gemini Men both nod, and respond, "Right." Then, they merge into one Gemini Man, who calmly turns for the teleporters.
With a lot to think of tonight, Magnet Man follows his brother at a somewhat slower pace.
