Retribution Gemini Man's Quarters
This is quite possibly the only single barrack in the fortress that has two cots, one on either side of the room. There are also two ergonomic chairs, seated in front of a computer system, set up for business and games and with two neatly arranged controllers. The tall black computer tower has been augmented with a few recent upgrades, including an outsized flatscreen monitor and a personal holo-projector, for testing designs. The furniture and walls are black; the bedframes are a dark metal. There is a locked trunk in the back of the room, next to a black wardrobe and a small stack of data disks and board games. Whichever Gemini Man owns the left side of the room has a blue lava lamp; the one on the right has a fiber-optic lamp on his nightstand, and a digital clock. The black ceiling is painted with stars, "Twins" constellation clearly central. In the back of the room, not quite congruous with the current scheme, are Gemini's personal trophy cases: acquisitions from some of his more interesting endeavors. Among these are a tiki mask, a wooden cane...and a lump of flat grey metal in a glass case.
There's a slight knocking on Gemini's door, and from the outside there comes the voice of a Joe or some other type of drone "C-Commander Gemini Man. I've b-brought a report concerning supply routes through our area in Africa..." He seems nervous, but oh well. Gemini Man is hiding....well, he didn't take himself out of ERWIN's location database, so that must be why they knew he was at home. Sitting at his own computer, he just makes a tap on the screen, and pops up a security window at the corner of his monitor, to get the outside view. He's not stupid. Knight Man's not stupid either. There IS a Joe standing there, and Knight is a little way away. But what Gemini can't see is Knight Man aiming his mace at the Joe just off 'screen'. The Joe seems a bit nervous, but who knows? That could just be because Bass walked by or something. And it does have a data padd in his hand. Gemini Man frowns...and raises a brow. He grabs his helmet off the extra chair, pops it on, then steps to the doorway. The door slides open. "All right...what?" he asks the Joe, reaching out for the datapad. Barracks - Skull Fortress This long corridor seems at first entirely uneventful, nothing but rows of doors, and a giant Dr. W' insignia at the end. Harkening back to the days of an older Fortress, the barracks are divided into several specialized sections. First is the Cold Room, a snow filled room kept below freezing at all times. To the right is the sweltering Industrial Room, an endlessly churning machine of gears, presses, roaring flames, and high-voltage wires, doubling as a drone production plant. The Sky Tower, extending four stories up, accommodates the Masters of the air. An airlock leads to the Hydrosphere, a water-filled room boasting a variety of coral and fish, both organic and robotic. The smallest rooms are the holographic anti-gravity Void, the Japanese-style Order of the Blade, and the Femme's Section. As Gemini steps out, Knight Man acts, striding forward, and knocking the joe aside, one hand shoots up to the door frame, to keep Gemii Man from closing it again. The other hand, which was the mace, transforms back into the hand, and shoots out for his 'neck' and Knighter snarls "Come with me 'Brother' we haveth something to attend to..." Gemini Man makes a gulping sound as his throat is grabbed. "Hey...ullp!" He kicks and pulls away, but Knight Man is too strong. "Let go!" Knight Man doesn't respond, but drags Gemini away with him, heading for the training facility. Oh, and it seems Gemini Man's room is left unlocked, oh well. Bwahaha. Gemini Man kicks and protests as he is drug along...for a while. But, if it seems as if Knight's headed to the training room, he'll let him go there rather than start a fight in the hall. Training Room - Skull Fortress This majority of this room when inactive is nothing but a giant black box with an overlaid shimmering green wire grid, dotted with holographic projection orbs at regular intervals on the ceiling, and a control panel for programming simulations. The only other feature is a shielded viewing balcony above the entrance, where one can watch without fear of stray fire. When turned on, however, the holographic generators can create any scene imaginable, even modifying the laws of physics at will. Thanks to the technology of simulated damage, Masters can use this room for combat training as much as they wish, and no medical drones are necessary.
[Stealthed] Shadow Man [White Ninja] [RM] A large, gruesome arena, the floor here is a gray, dull metal, the circular wall surrounding it the same. Extremely large, there are empty seats past the tall walls, stretching as far as the eye can see. Above, a red, churning sky looms, lightning bolts lancing through the clouds. In the center, there is a large round platform, raised ten feet above the floor below. Stains of mechfluid rest on it, as well as an occasional generic-looking dead robot. Ringing the platform are spikes which jut from the sides and curve to point upwards. The floor below is a mis-mash of discared parts, random weaponry(pipes, morning stars, metal clubs, etc.), an occasional wicked spike jutting from it. The walls ringing the arena have long spikes protruding from them, promising pain to anyone who is thrown into them. Ever slowly the thief rises from her seat and peers over the balcony, into arena below. She doesn't seem surprised for her facial expression remains nuetral, but rather her emerald optics remain darkened. She had no doubts of what Serenade was capable of and knew the results of the fight. However there seems to be something else the thief is interested in. Pulling out her crossbow from behind her back she arms the device with a single bolt before pulling back the drawstring. Aiming it at Freeze for a long moment she then pulls it away and points it right at Ser. Firing off a single shot at femme the bolt explodes in a pile of sticky goo.
Shadow Man's eyes dart to Cappella as she rises and strikes out against her brother - er, sister - and a hand reaches into the left pocket of his white uniform, while otherwise he remains leaning against the wall just to the right of the balcony door. The doors to the Training Facility slide open, and in walk two masters, sorta. Well, Knight Man walks in, and in one hand he grasps Gemini Man's neck, dragging him along. Once he enteres, and the door closes behind him, he throws Gemini into the center of the room, or whatever simulation this is. And doesn't seem to waste any time advancing towards him, his hand quickly forming into a mace. Head tilting slightly as Serenade catches the bolt coming toward her out of the corner of her eyes, they flicker red for a moment only. Ducking to the side, Serenade waves a finger at Cappella, "Still need to be better than that though." With that, Serenade walks toward the door. "Another time Cappella." Cappella sneers slightly before turning swiftly on her heels towards the entrance. "You talk to you Serenade..." Gemini Man is slammed against the base of the holographic arena platform, and looks up at Knight, with wide eyes. ... But before Knight can make an attack, Gemini Man walks in, completely on his own, passing Serenade's exit. "You know," he says, "I could have just as easily shot you in the back while you were gallumphing away. Idiot." Gemini Man...or is it the clone?...raises his blaster and points it at Knight Man's back. "Bass is supposed to punish us for yesterday," he says. "Not you." Freeze Man looks around at the newcomers, then heads for the ringside. Knight Man's demanour don't change much. He harumphs "Punisheth thee for using Lord Wily's creation yesterday? Yes. But this is for the humiliation I had to suffereth at thine hands!!" Ignoring the Gemini behind him for now, he dashes at the one in front of him, and swings his mace at him, hitting him lightly, well.. lightly for Knight Man anyway.
WHAM! Gemini Man is hit in the side of the helmet, where he is still lying down on the floor. Despite the dent this leaves in the side of his head, he takes it without a fuss, not making more than a slight grunt as it connects. The Gemini Man behind Knight Man rolls his eyes. "Didn't even listen," he says. What was with people diliberately ignoring him? The gun still works... He fires a white burst, directly at Knight Man's back.
Knight Man's not so slow or as easy to hit as you might think. He fully expected an attack from behind, and as the flail connects, he leaps into the air to make sure he gets out of the way of said attack. As he descends, his mace is swung around again, and is shot downward ahead of him, towards the same Gemini Man he attacked first.
Gemini Man, on the ground, rolls away from the attack as it drops down. The still-standing one says, "There isn't any point in beating us to a pulp...we all had a good laugh, and...frankly, not much will change that." He blasts again, not going for the direct-shot this time, but making a shot that bounces toward Knight Man off the bottom of the platform. The Gemini on the ground stands up, and regroups over behind the clone, recovering still from the first shot, which dazed him.
The blast bounces around the room, and finally strikes Knight Man at the side. It sears some of his armor, he winces slightly under his helmet, but that just makes him even angrier "I don't CARETH! Thou humiliated me yesterday, and now thou art going to PAY FOR IT!!" And then Knight charges, this time at clone-boy, but his mace isn't shot forward this time, nope. This time his leg is brought up, and he tries to bring his spiked knee into Gemini Man's gut.
Shadow Man brings his hand out of his pocket and holds both in front of him at chest height, palms facing one another, with thumbs and index fingers curved in arcs of a rough circle, others curving inwards. Within the imaginary circle forms a less-than-imaginary circle of white light, which is replaced in short order by a metal disk. The disk then shears inwards from four points to form one of his trademark weapons, which he transfers to his right hand, and leaves at his side for the moment. The clone winces as the kick connects, and doubles over.
You project a holographic image of Tron Bonne.
Knight Man grunts as the punch strikes him. He's BEYOND mad now. A deep, hateful growl is heard, as he leaps back. Good, it seems Gem and the clone are close together, close enough anyway. With that he fires his mace out at themm but instead of hitting one or the other, it veers off to the side. Then Knight bends and whips his arm a certain way, and it starts to spin around them. Unless they react, they're both tied up.
Gemini Man and 'Tron' both scatter, and the chain sweeps around, not hitting either. Now on opposite sides of Knight Man, both Gemini and Tron throw each other mischievous looks. "Shall we?" Gemini Man asks.
Knight Man is floored, landing on his huge armored aft. But even with his big size, it takes little more than a kick and a jump upwards to get him to his feet. All right, time for hardball. On one side he has Gemini Man, and on the other, a hologram that looks like Tron Bonne. It seems that Gemini Man suspects Knight to go blindly attacking the holo, and leave himself wide open. Well Gem don't know Knight as well as he thinks. Right now, Knight Man's mad at Gemini, at least, more so than Tron at the moment, sortof. And now thanks to that holo trick, he know's which is the real one. He dashes towards the real Gem, and as he gets in close range he grabs out at Gemini's shoulder, not for an attack, but to hold him in place for the headbutt that soon follows. Knight Man has a hard helmet, and an even harder head behind it.
Gemini Man's goal was *not* to distract Knight Man with the hologram. It was to have a good time beating on Knight Man with an overpowered visage of Tron Bonne. And that's exactly what he plans to do, whether he wins the fight with her, or not. As the knight's headbutt strikes into his face, Gemini stumbles back, but, luckily, Knight Man didn't hit the all-important emitter crystal on his helmet. Gemini puts a hand over his face as he breaks away after the attack.
Knight Man grunts as the kick strikes him, maybe leaving a dent in the side of his helmet, but not much else. Eyeing back to the hologram, he growls "Alright, I've hadeth enough out of ye 'wench'" His mace quickly transforms back into a hand, and he grabs a blade that's attatched to his side, which then extends to form a lance. Presumably, before Tron gets her leg out of the air, Knight spins around and impales her with it. If it misses, well, she's REALLY flexible, isn't she?
Tron Bonne reacts spectacularly. Despite the android-level power displayed by her melee attacks, her body is as weak as a human girl's, with paper thin skin that tears easily beneath the lance. The blade drives clear through her body, and a gout of blood rushes from the impaled wound, splattering all over her clean outfit. She screams convincingly, and falls to her knees, still impaled through, and still bleeding profusely. It's almost an exaggeration of pain. "Bravo!" Gemini shouts, clapping his gun-arm against his hand. He doesn't seem to have taken any pain on his own from that...must be something special about the Tron hologram. "Well met." And, as the hologram whimpers, Gemini raises his blaster, and shoots again at Knight Man, a more powerful burst than he's used before.
Knight Man gets... some sense of satisfaction from that. Though he'd much rather do that to the REAL Tron Bonne. He hear's Gem's snide comment from behind, and again, expects an attack. Quickly his legs bend and he ducks, the blast from the Gemini Cannon just barely missing him overhead. Knight leaves the Lance where it is for now, as he stands upright. He glares at Gemini Man, no mace formed, no lance, how does he attack? Those spikes on his shoulder aren't for nothing, crouching forward slightly, he charges at Gemini Man, shoulder first. It's ramming time.
Tron seems determined. She's not 'dead' yet. She rises, shakingly, to her feet, and with one fluid motion, pulls the spear out of her own body. It comes out the color of blood, and she uses it to balance herself as she tries to regain her footing. Meanwhile, now laughing, dispite the damage he's actually incurred in comparison to Knight Man's minor injuries, Gemini Man dodges aside, turning about as Knight bypasses him with the charge. "Don't look now..." he warns, and points back... at the hologram, who has leveled the lance, and is rushing into a charge of 'her' own, to jab Knight Man with the end of his own weapon.
By his own weapon? Not likely. Like all bustery weapons and the like, the Lance moves with Knight's 'will', or electronic signal whatever. And just as he exteneded the lance as such, the lance shrinks to a mere blade again as Tron tries to ram him. He snarls down at the inneffective hologram. "Thou, my 'dear' haveth become a nuisence." He reachs to his back, and grabs, a Warhammer. Well that's a new addition. It's a rather /big/ hammer too, which he grasps with both hands. He swings it at the hologram's stomach, which will likely send the Tronagram flying if it connects.
Shadow Man watches with seeming disinterest, muttering something muffled by the cloth over his mouth. Not quite. The hologram's injuries save her this time, and her dodging aside the blow is merely a side effect of her tripping backwards, and dropping the now-shrunken blade. "Are you running out of arsenal YET?" Gemini Man asks, standing by and watching this, sounding amused. He aims his blaster at the tip of the hammer as it swings down, and he bursts out another white laser. If the trajectory's perfect, it will bounce off the moving weapon and into Knight Man's face.
Shadow Man sends a radio transmission.
Knight Man sends a radio transmission to Shadow Man.
That attack MIGHT work, but Gem obviously forgot to take into account how strong Knight Man is, and how quickly he can swing that bulky looking hammer. He swings the hammer again and bats the beam out of the way. He attatches the hammer to his back again, Zelda64 style. His mace forms again, this time not hanging from the chain, but attatched firmly on his arm. "I haveth MUCH more than this!" Dashing at Gemini Man, he tries to deliver a nice hard spikey punch to the face.
Gemini Man ducks beneath the heavy punch, as the Tron holo sinks back to the ground, still spurting out an exaggerated amount of gore. Gemini, ever the 'gentleman' when it means taking care of himself, leaps toward her, and offers her a hand. "Once more?" "Sure," she says. And, then, although she seems visibly damaged, she stands up with a new vigor. Gemini puts a hand on her back, and literally pushes her in the right direction, her using her own momentum to barrel Knight Man in a messy shoulder-charge.
Without further warning, Shadow Man drops from the balcony, landing solidly in the arena a bit distant from Knight Man and Gemini Man. The Shadow Blade is flashed back to subspace, evidently not worth wasting on holographic damage, while meanwhile his white ninja uniform phases out to be replaced by his usual power armor. He tilts his helmet forward slightly, again muttering into his radio. Shadow Man sends a radio transmission to Knight Man.
Knight Man sidesteps the charge this time. You're not getting any holo-blood on his armor. He growls "Alright, that tis enough of this nonsense..." The mace on his arm, suddenly increases in size a bit? Yep, it's now one huge ball, not quite as spikey was it was before, just big. The hefty iron weight is swung above Knight's head a bit, before he snarls and launches it at Gemini Man. The huge mace-ball tears through the air rather fast for it's size, due to the amount of strength in the person who launched it.
All of the holo-energy: the Tron clone and the surrounding blood, disappear immediately as the original Gemini Man is struck in the head. The heavy weapon batters him horribly, and he falls to the ground, crushed and quiet, the self-satisfied smirk now removed from a face planted right in the dirt. "Congratulations," says Shadow Man. Just as the mace impacts his squadron commander, Shadow Man's left hand flies forward, opening at the apex of its arc, and releasing a small grey ball, its flight aimed right for the slot of Knight Man's helmet.
Knight Man clomps towards Gemini Man, it looks like he's not done yet. Not that any further damage would make a difference to Gemini Man, but it's all for Knight Man's own warped sense of satisfaction. However, the smoke bomb comes out of nowhere, and right into his helmet, corner socket. It riccochets around inside, and releases the smoke "Blasteth it!" He quickly takes his helmet off, and drops it, clearing the smoke away from his face. He HATES taking his helmet off, he dispises the face underneath. He winces through the smoke "Damneth thee Ninja Boy, dost thou wanteth a match with me as WELL?" Shadow Man smirks, returning his hands to his side, passing over his belt as he crosses his arms. "I don't think that will be necessary, Medieval Boy. Robbing you of your moment of victory was sufficient." Gemini Man starts to stir, the holographic damage now dispersing from his body. Knight Man waves the smoke out of his face, revealing the Heath Ledger look-a-like in all his glory. He picks his helmet back up "This twas no business of thine Shadow Man! Mayhap if Gemini Man could learn to controleth himself, he'd not enrage most of us so." The helmet is planted in place, and the mini-holo emitted on the inside is activated, first cloaking his face in blackness, then forming the two huge white eyes. "Not that this was any sort of punishment, Master Bass shalt be the one to delivereth that to him. Mayhap the fool will learn to respecteth Lord Wily's inventions THEN!" Shadow Man says, "Then you took it upon yourself to overstep Sempai Bass's territory, brother?" Gemini Man rolls over onto his side, now, then sits up, and blinks. "Ow..." he mutters. Then, he looks up at Shadow Man and Knight Man, without standing up. Knight Man glares "Nay, Master Bass art punishing him for the unauthorized use of Lord Wily's latest creation, and likely for... other things as well. /I/ did this for the humiliation he gaveth /me/ because of it! This twas a personal issume Shadow Man that didn't involveth thee. He raises his hand, mace still formed "But if thou dost WISH to becometh involved..." Shadow Man rolls his eyes. "Try that again, brother... In English." Elec Man arrives from the Common Room - Skull Fortress.
Gemini Man kicks out his legs, and just sits there, now, watching this argument. "You happy now, Knight Man?" he asks. "Can we go?" Elec Man wanders in, hearing something from the room... and spots Gemini. Instantly gets a look of anger, and sparks fly off of him in great quantities... Sword Man enters as well, intrigued at the going ons inside. He /WAS/ going to practice today again, trying to tweak his program to help against his next fight against the Red Demon...but it seems something is already going on. He bows silently, and just watches from the door. Gemini Man looks up, as Elec Man enters. He's sitting in the dirt on the arena floor, watching the argument between Knight and Shadow. He makes a huffing sound, an exhale of air. "Oh, boy," he says, throwing his hands up in the air. "Hey, Elec Man... just take potshots if you want. We're still sitting here." Knight Man thhbpts at Shadow Man "Biteth me Ninja Boy." And with that he glares at Gem again, then over to Elec "Well I art done with thee for now, thought it seems there art someone next in line wanting to teacheth thee a lesson." Shadow Man nods, and bows... And vanishes, in a cloud of smoke similar to the one which recently poured forth from inside Knight Man's helmet. That would seem to be his final word on the matter. Elec Man now storms into the training room, staring at Gemini. Yellow-white electricity is already crackling around him. "Gemini, I'm going to shove a huge thunderbolt up your aft..." He cracks his knuckles. Sword Man speaks up at that. "No, brother Elec." What? Sword, protecting Gemini? "He shall get a proper punishment from Sir Bass. Then you may extract your vengance on Sir Gemini." His eyes narrow at Gemini. Knight Man clomps on over to the side "Butteth out Honor-boy. Tis merely a holographic beating, it shalt be nothing compared to what Master Bass shalt giveth him. And besides, he has a right to it, mayhap after this Gemini Man won't be as likely to haveth fun at his Brother's expense." "That sounds kinky, Elec Man! Will you shove one up mine?" says a girl's voice, from behind Elec Man as he advances. It actually takes a moment for Gemini Man to conciously realize he hasn't reset his hologram settings. He barks out a single laugh, then doubles over, chuckling, without standing up. The Tron Bonne hologram looks as innocent as can be. "Whhhhat?" she asks. Then, she laughs. You project a holographic image of Tron Bonne.
Elec Man ...thuds. Gravity Man pokes his head into the room, upside-down, from the doorjamb. He heard something about bolts, afts, and Tron wanting to be involved. This he had to see. Elec Man whirls around, and boggles. "Tron?!? What are you doing here?" Sword Man ignores the lewd implications of that....and simply turns to Knight. "Perhaps. However, I still believe we should wait until Sir Bass hand out his punishment. Then, once Gemini has been sufficiently cowed....then you may extract your vengance. Perhaps then he shall realize the implications of his actions." From a distance not far away, hooves can be heard. The sound grows louder... there's also a nice loud "MYA!" Yup, it's the hooved archer Centaur Man, and his cabbit Seizui. The hooved one looks a tad bit less than his normal self. He's here to practice archery... or atleast he was. Now, the hooved one sees his brothers beating each other senseless. "MYA?" goes the cabbit, while the hooved one speaks up with more understandable words. "Uh... Good Day brothers. Seizui, calm down!" The cabbit seems to be growling at the troublemaking holographmaker. "Good to see you all enthusiastic about your training." The hooved one in truth knows better, but would perfer to hope it's otherwise. Tron Bonne blinks. Elec Man apparently hasn't realized that she's...not Tron Bonne. Well, that's somewhat amusing. "Bah. Implications, nothing," Gemini Man says to Sword. "The weapon has a temporary effect. It's worn off already, no side effects, and that was that. We don't see what the big FUSS is." The Tron Bonne hologram, meanwhile, takes a few, slow steps toward Elec Man. "Oh...I'm just, dropping by." She reaches out, and tweaks him on the nose. "Dad already yelled at us for misusing it. It was just a prank." Gemini Man crosses his arms across his chest, still not bothering to stand up. Elec Man blinks a few times, then asides to Knight... "Hey, is she even allowed in here?" Realization dawns on Gravity Man, then, and he flips down to land on the floor, strolling in behind Centaur and his excitable pet. "There a fight going on here?" Knight Man is always one to ruin Gemini's fun "That is just that idiots hologram, but don't taketh it likely no matter what for it tis in, it's as strong as he is. Which isn't very." He sniggers a bit, He then walks over and leans against the wall, no matter what Swordy things, Elec'll likely fight Gemini Man, should be fun to watch. Freeze Man walks in. Grr. He sees Gemini, and walks over to him. "Gemini." Elec Man's eyes narrow. "...hologram, eh? Heh heh... Tron's going to be thrilled when she hears about this." Eleccy puts a hand to his neck, and his lips begin to move. "Hi, Freeze Man!" says Tron Bonne, brightly, ignoring Elec Man for now. Gemini Man waves at him. Elec Man sends a radio transmission.
Freeze Man stares at Gemini, his gaze empty of all emotion. Then his fist lashes out to attempt to smash Gemini in the face.
Elec Man sends a radio transmission. Knight Man chuckles, totally amused over this. "Now now Ice-face, wait thine turn, I believeth that brother Elec was here before ye. Besides, THOU aren't the one who had to suffereth that humiliation last night." [Radio: (A) Masters] Pirate Princess Tron Bonne transmits, "GEEEEEEEEMIIIIIIIINIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Centaur Man looks around. "Ok, if you guys don't stop fighting, I'm going to Centaur Flash you all" The hooved one seems ticked, and might just do it... after all he chibified Gem. [Radio: (A) Masters] Pirate Princess Tron Bonne transmits, "/WHAT/ have you been doing with /MY/ Hologram?!"
Gemini Man takes a sock to the face, putting his hands up too late. "OW!" he shouts, holding his face in his hands. "What did you do THAT for? We didn't even HIT you with it!" [Radio: (A) Masters] Knight Man transmits, "Oh he tis just using it for his own amusement... what else? He tried to fooleth me with it in combat. And he seems to be using it to hiteth on mine brothers as well, Elec Man... even mineself Knight Man is, well, laughing his aft off. See how much Gemini likes to have pranks pulled on him.
[Radio: (A) Masters] Pirate Princess Tron Bonne transmits, "-staticstatic- Stupid Comnoise... now... Where was I? Ahh, yes... ...Gemini, can you do me... one favor? Just... /don't/ use it infront of anyone else besides RMS, kay?"
Freeze Man looks at Gemini Man, his face still emotionless. "You recklessly endangered our brothers by incapacitating them for no reason. You're lucky I only tapped you once. You're unfit for your position as squad leader. He then turns to Knight. "Knight Man, brother. We should not be quarreling with eachother. It isn't productive. I propose we forget the pass, and treat eachother with respect." He stands there, awaiting Knight's reply.
[Radio: (A) Masters] Gamma CO Gemini Man transmits, "I promise not to, Tron. I am keeping my promise."
Elec Man eyes Freeze. "Freeze, I'm not forgetting this until I kick that spiky-headed afthole around a few times. _Then_ maybe I'll let bygones be bygones.
"
[Radio: (A) Masters] Gamma CO Gemini Man transmits, as Tron, "I had absolutely NO plans for anything like that! Silly."
Freeze Man eyes Elec. "I was talking about what has happened between me and Knight."
Knight Man bahs "Tis only holo fighting Ice Face, better let Brother Elec work out his aggressions. Works wonders..."
Freeze Man says, "Knight Man can continue hating Gemini Man, and so can you, Elec. He deserves it, for a while."
[Radio: (A) Masters] Gamma CO Gemini Man, as Tron, laughs brightly at the threat.
Gemini Man shakes his head. Then, he stands up, and dusts himself off. "Whatever, Freeze Man. We didn't hurt anything. Apparently the rest of you have NO sense of scale, not to mention no sense of humor."
[Radio: (A) Masters] Knight Man transmits, "Do that, and we shalt see how long thou dost manage to ive"
Freeze Man turns his gaze back to Gemini. "No, you /didn't/, thank Wily. But you /could have/. What if the Repliforce had attacked while they were incapacitated? They wouldn't be able to defend themselves. They could have been killed, and we'd have lost them forever. Do you even care about your brothers?"
Sword Man, after staying silent to watch, finally pipes up again. "Rendering our brother defenseless while possibly revealing the weapon to enemy eyes simply in some perverse manner of jest is no excuse."
Knight Man is still laughing his aft off, hoo boy
Elec Man says, "Can I beat him up yet?"
Knight Man waves dismissivly at Elec Man "No one tis holding thee back"
Gemini Man says, "WHAT? If Repliforce HAD attacked... we still have the GUN!"
"DUH!" adds Tron, crossing her arms over her chest.
[Radio: (A) Masters] Pirate Princess Tron Bonne transmits, "Like you could catch me, Knight... ...as for you, Gemini... .../Don't/ do anything I wouldn't do, kay?"
Freeze Man says, "And if they were not at the desert when they were attacked?"
[Radio: (A) Masters] Knight Man bahs "Some day wench.... some day"
The whirring of generators fills the air once more, as electricity crackles around The Electric One. He nudges Gemini with his boot. "Get up..."
[Radio: (A) Masters] Centaur Man transmits, "Hmmm, indeed, a very comforting thought." "MYA!! MYA! M...MYA?""
[Radio: (A) Masters] Knight Man transmits, "I must admit, she splattered good, I doubteth the real thing will be half as messy when I eventually killeth her"
Gemini Man steps forward a little as he's kicked. "What, what?" He opens his arms wide. "Go ahead. SHOOT ME."
Not wanting to mess Gemini up too badly, Elec simply shoves a hand in Gemini's face, blasting him with a large quantity of lightning, as opposed to his vaunted Thunder Beam. Enjoy.
Freeze Man walks away. Whoosh.
Gemini Man doesn't budge. Nor does he flinch very much, even though the current arcs through him. "Ow," he says, simply, as the blast clears. "There. Happy, then?"
Centaur Man looks around. The hooved one has no time for such foolishness. He decides to bck out quietly, as to not let them know he's bothering them. Seizui follows with him. "M-" The hooved one hushes his cabbit, before she continues.
Elec Man frowns. "Not really. You're not fighting back, so it's not really fun."
Gemini Man sighs. "No. Of course not. You can't beat me, and then you'd want to do it again." He sighs. "So, can we GO now?"
The Tron hologram just watches.
Elec Man raises an eyebrow at Gemini Man. Wearing a mask, it is a useless gesture, but oh well. "What do you mean I wouldn't beat you? You're not only being a jerk, you're delusional as well."
Gemini Man shakes his head. "Our electric systems are all redundant. It protects sensitive holographic equipment from overloading." He opens his arms again. "Go on. Hit me with your best shot. You'll feel better." The hologram just nods.
Knight Man groans "Fight back thou weakling! Honestly, just because thine fighting ability tis worse than a Servbot's doesn't mean you can't at least try! Besides which, it shall be more fun for Elec Man, and thou dost oweth it to him."
Gemini Man just stands there, tapping his foot. "No," he says to Knight Man.
"Go on, go on, hit him!" Tron encourages, helpfully.
Elec Man throws a few Sparks at the hologram.
Tron Bonne pushes away at the little sparks, putting a hand in front of her face. "Not ME...him!"
"Here." Gemini waves a hand, then the hologram disperses, turning first into pixels, then nothing. "Come on...go for it!!"
You turn off your holographic projection of Tron Bonne.
Elec Man turns his back on Gemini, waving a hand dismissively at him. "Bah, why bother. If you don't fight back, I don't get the pleasure of, as Knight would say, "smiting you-eth." He taps his foot twice.
Knight Man groans, that's NOT how he would say it, but whatevereth.
Gemini Man sighs. He raises his blaster arm, and... without moving from the spot, shoots at Elec Man with it. "Whatever," he says.
Elec Man hears the shot coming. He spins to the side, Matrix-style, electricity already gathering to his hands. He thrusts his hands toward Gemini, and...stops. "No. Why bother? You're not putting anything into it, so it still won't be satisfying." The whirring of his generators slows to nothing.
"All right. Then how about you just get out of my face?" Gemini asks. "We never saw a group of people over-react so badly," he says, starting to head for the exit.
Temptedtemptedtemptednah. The last of the electricity sparks from Elec, and he leans against the wall. "I'm definitely getting tickets to see Bass beat the mechfluid out of him..."
Gemini Man then stomps out of the room, not saying another word.
[So afterwards...]
Bass sends you a tightbeam radio transmission: "Well then."
[Radio] You send Bass a direct message: "Ummm... yes?"
Bass sends you a tightbeam radio transmission: "Report to the medbay. It looks like you spend enough time there already."
[Radio] You send Bass a direct message: "Yessir."
Medical Support - Skull Fortress
Between such resident medics as Dust Man and Junk Man, this room is as much a scrap heap as a medical facility, and as much a warzone as a scrap heap. Towards the front are three fully equipped repair tables and an automatic repair chamber, and the room is ringed by cabinets and storage units, if you can get to them through the piles of defunct drones and spare parts. The latest generation of Master medical assistant drones has been specially designed for this environment, with a radar positioning system and an additional pair of drill arms. One wall features three giant diagnostics displays. These can be used to call up known information on both friends and foes.
Bass [Bass] [RM] Gemini Man walks into the room slowly, eyes down at the floor, shuffling his feet. He barely glances up, and he hasn't activated his double. As soon as he gets inside the room, he just stands there, hands at his sides.
"Sit down." Bass 'greets' the new entrant immediately, nodding sharply to the med table he presently stands beside. Thankfully, he's not dressed as a nurse, but the fact he's within his armor can't be a comforting thought either.
Gemini Man sighs, walks over to the medtable, and hops up onto it. He still doesn't look up at Bass; he looks down at the floor.
Cut Man wanders into the repair chamber slowly, with even paces. He shakes his head, muttering to one of a trio of Bladers floating about his head, buzzing this way and that, "Should they really be talking about all of this on the (A) channel?" The Blader he addresses rotates in the air, lidding its eyes and replying with a negatory Bzzzing. Rubbing his wrist slowly, Cut Man looks back down, and over at Bass and Gemini.
Unfortunately, the act isn't working on Bass. He simply rolls his red eyes, before his gaze cuts off to Cut Man. "No, you're not interrupting at all. Take a seat if you want to watch, otherwise you can shove off." Bass turns his glare back onto the seated Robot Master, and places a hand down on the shoulder of the Gamma CO. "Gemini Man. Tell me why you're here."
Gemini Man shudders very visibly when Bass touches his shoulder. He wasn't expecting such a ...non-violent gesture. Then, he takes a chance, and looks up. "Well...do you want the same answer I gave Doc?" he asks.
Cut Man blinks, and scuttles off to the side, plopping his synthetic rear down in a chair, fiddling slightly with his left wrist, massaging the rotater cuffs. His Bladers all blink, whirring slightly in the air, and then, zip over to light on the medical table by Cutsy's elbow. They all shut off their coptor moters, falling immediately silent.
"Be creative." Bass responds, hand tightening just a touch on the shoulder of Gemini Man. "Amuse me. Make me laugh. It might be your one saving grace." His voice is lacking the usual edge, almost as if he were.. distracted. And he is at that, unbeknownst to those present, his heads-up display flashing through the schematics of the Robot Master he's presently touching. Cut Man, having been relegated to the audience, isn't given another thought. Sorry, Cut.
Gemini Man's jaw drops. "Uhhh..." He tries to scoot back slightly, though he can't get out of the commander's grasp. "You mean...make you laugh by answering the other question? Or... some other way?"
Cut Man is a good little audience member. Really he is. Anyway, he just came down to the repair bay for a slight adjustment to his wrist rotater. Reaching over to a little mech oil squirter on the table, he places it against the joint of his forearm and injects a bit. One of his Bladers glances sidelong at him, questioningly, and he whispers under his breath, "Nurse drone said I should oil my wrist once every day for the next couple of weeks to loosen the rotater cuff."
"However you want." Bass replies simply, staring through the red-tinted heads-up display and directly at the other Robot Master. The information continues to flicker past his vision, the smallest amount of attention given to it -- he's simply searching for something, and it won't be long before he finds it. "You have, say.. two minutes, to make me laugh, or we proceed with the punishment."
Gemini Man stutters, "Um, um, um..." He doesn't consider himself an actual COMEDIAN... most of the time, he's the only person who thinks what he does is funny. He glances nervously around the room. Jokes need victims. And since Bass was undeniably NOT available for this, the only acceptable choice was... Cut Man. Well, what can one do in under two minutes... (one-point-three-two and counting down)... that was funny? Gemini Man sraises a hand, and... a quick page from the life of Chuck Jones. After all...this is Cut Man, and if there IS a levitating anvil in the room, it's sure to fall on his head, first. A dark shape forms, amorphic at first, over Cut Man, where the other android is wrapping his hand. Then, Gemini snaps a finger, and gives it weight, forming a large, heavy and very solid anvil aimed as a crushing blow right over Cut Man's head. Sorry again.
*Cwip- cwip* That's the sound of The Blader's eyes shifting from side to side, looking from Elite to contrite Robot Master, and back again. This could be interesting... seems to imply the look in their eyes, insomuch as Bladers can possess expressions. Then, all three of them give off a sudden, buzzing whine, hopping off to the far side of the table as the enormous anvil comes crashing down.
Bass simply glances at the display that goes on, before giving a slight shake to his head. "You've still got a little under a minute to try, and I'd suggest you put some real effort into it this time. Think about the sort of things I like, perhaps." That's about as helpful as the Force Leader will get, on the other hand, as his heads-up display chimes (internally) to a halt. Aha, there we go..
Gemini Man clenches a fist. "Damn," he mutters... "What you LIKE?" he says, dispersing the hologram, leaving a crushed chair behind. "Sorry, there aren't any babies around here to kill. We don't think we ever HAVE heard you laugh when you weren't beating the stuffing out of someone. A good joke takes a little TIME to set up you know. Unless the circuimstances are just right. I don't think we can honestly thrill you on the spur of the moment, unless you'd like for us to cook up something at Enker's expense, oh, in the next ...fourty seconds. And even then it would take about a day to get off the ground, creating another hilarious punishment cycle. I put your prank into motion three days before there was paydirt on it. And you've already seen the footage of what happened to Knight Man, which is the SECOND-funniest thing we've seen this month." Gemini Man chuckles then, despite himself, just thinking of the image.
Cut Man finally comes back down to both feet, and relaxes slightly... watching Gemini's desperation. As Gemini the second joins in, The Man of Cut... and his Bladers on the table begin to turn left and right, following the exchange like it was a tennis match. He winces slightly as Gemini grows freaked out enough to blast himself both ways to Sunday
By the end of the impromptu routine, Bass is laughing alright, since he got to see what he likes the most -- someone being hurt, and in this case, it was a two for one deal. "Hahahahahaha! Now that's what I like to see, a complete idiot proving himself to be just that -- a flaming IDIOT! THANK YOU, GEMINI MAN!" The grip abruptly tightens on the shoulder of Gemini Man, as his other hand retracts -- and from the depths of the Neo Buster slides the Forteblade, as he likewise slams it at precisely the angle his HUD is telling him to. To achieve what? Why, to sever the connections to the holographic abilities that Gemini Man indulges in so frequently, of course.
A brutal slash to Gemini's arm, sputtering energy and fraying wires, shattering emission points and severing connections... and then, the backswing, powered by a punch that shatters all the crystal on the front of his helmet... is what that strike requires. The second blow connects, spraying diamond-like shards all over Gemini's face. And at that last blow, the holo-clone simply winks out of existance. Gemini puts his hand to his head, feeling at the damaged primary emitter. "Wha-- Wha-- The--" Gemini Man stutters, tapping at the damaged area. He hits himself in the arm, and the circuits give off a shower of sparks.
blinkblinking, Cut Man twitches at the corner of the mouth, just sort of standing there. *twitchtwitch* A few moments pass, and he glances down at his wrist.. remembering just what he came here for in the first place. *squink squink*
Even as the crystal shards fall, the Force Leader continues moving, the hand sweeping back across to take a firm hold of Gemini Man's throat and to hoist him off the table and into the air. "THAT.. is what you get for MESSING AROUND, GEMINI MAN! THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR TAMPERING WHERE YOU SHOULDN'T! ENJOY THE TIME WITHOUT YOUR LITTLE FRIEND -- I'M SURE WE'LL SEE YOU WORSE OFF THAN CRYSTAL MAN BY THE END OF THIS! HAHAHAHA--" The laughter continues as Bass throws the injured Robot Master aside, sneering violently.
Synth arrives from the Teleporters - Skull Fortress.
Gemini Man is thrown headlong into a medcot, crashing it down to the ground, and falling then after it, in a heap. He struggles, tries to stand up, then figures, what is the use? and slumps back down again, laying his head on the floor while Bass laughs at his expense.
Cut Man isn't the butt of someone's cruel laughter for once, and he seems pretty happy that way... sidling toward the door with swift crabwise step, "Well, with that taken care off, I suppose I should be going, then."
The Force Leader simply stands there, staring at the fallen Gemini Man, taking careful note that, indeed, the Gamma CO does not attempt to get up. "Clean yourself up, and get back to work. If you get those repaired, you don't want to /know/ what I'll do to you then.." He leaves the threat hanging, before growling at the Bladers and Cut Man make for the exit. Bass needs to write a report now, and he should probably beat Gemini Man up for making him do that task, too.
Gemini Man scrambles to his feet. "Bass... Bass... how long do we-- do I..." his voice cuts off. "How long until the hologram emitters can be repaired?"
Bass snaps off the transmissions, before his red gaze once more descends onto the scrambling Gemini Man. "Oh, I don't know. Let's try one week, and we'll see how your evaluation comes through at the end of that. I'd suggest you concentrate yourself on getting your team on the board, for whenever I decide to take potshots at the points board. Get out of my sight."
Gemini Man stutters... "A week? A week? But-- but I can't do anything! How am I supposed to get anything done for the squad if I can't..." Then, suddenly, he stops talking, and looks back at the ground. "Yes... yes, sir. One week."
Cut Man can still be heard from inside the MedBay, walking casually for a few steps, before a loud clanking can be heard... the sound of an Alpha Robot Master beatting feet as fast as he can, heading for the lift! His 3 Blader drones Whirrrr and blurr after him.
Of course, Cut Man is not the only one who has decided to wander into the medical bay at this time of evening. As the doors finish opening, they reveal a figure leaning against the frame, her eyes rather amused as she looks at the group of Masters gathered here. "Well, it sounds like we've got a few... shall we say, casualties heading in?" Synth purrs, gliding into the room. She reaches over and pulls on the glove that rests on her right hand, tightening it slightly as the light catching in her glasses for a moment as she looks about. "And no other medics on hand... what a disaster..."
Gemini Man's weapon arm torn open and sparking, and the crystal crest on his forhead is shattered, into tiny pieces that are sprayed all over the med-bay floor. Nevertheless, he blinks in surprise at the small kindness that Bass has actually done. As the Force Commander leaves, he says, simply... "But I am not... a good boy." His eyes narrow, and he stands there momentarily. Then, he sighs, and bends his knees, dropping down to floor level to collect the shattered bits of helmet. That is the activity he is engaged in when Synth enters. He looks up as she hustles in, and blinks at her. "Oh. Synth?" He squints at the femme. "Been a long time..."
Cut Man is actually, leaving, and indeed, passes Synth a quick wave as he passes her. Each of his Bladers, in turn also give a little nod, following their boss.
Synth kneels down in front of Gemini, watching as the Master grobes about to collect what is probably the most important part of his weapon systems. She smiles, and reaches up to touch his cheek with one hand. "Such a pity... Bass did this, I take it?" she purrs quietly, having noted the Force Commander's exit a few moments ago. "A pity indeed... such a lovely piece of work, shattered..."
Gemini Man looks back down at the ground, still collecting pieces. He sets them in a pile to his side, not currenly having a right hand to collect them in. "He says I'm supposed to leave it this way for a while," he says. His voice sounds oddly hollow at that explanation. When the bigger crystals are gathered up, he then, still hollowly, walks over to one of the ultility closets, and shuffles through, his damaged cannon-arm hanging at his side.
Synth ponders this development for a moment, pushing herself up onto one of the medical tables and crossing her legs, her expresson pensive. "However did you get yourself into such a state, Gemini? Probably failing an assignment, if Bass is inflicting some sort of punishment on you?" she adds, adjusting her glasses slightly. She listens to her radio for a moment, the chatter telling a story of what will be wandering in here soon. Best to be prepared, after all...
Gemini Man pulls a broom out of the closet, and, operating it one-handed, leaning it against the crook of his elbow, as he starts to sweep the smaller shards into the pile, he says, "Nope." A pause. "I hacked his Email account."

"Alright, it's pretty damn simple. Gemini Man is bereft of his holographic abilities, and his body double, for the next week, unless matters change. Anyone who repairs the abilities will be found, and summarily executed. Any questions? I didn't think so."
"And do try, Gemini Man. Try very, very hard."
"Bass out."
Gemini Man
He is by himself.
Synth walks over and pats Gemini on the shoulder, her expression sympathetic. "Now Gem, look here," she says, setting one hand on top of the broom for a moment. "If you are going to try and be a hacker... do yourself a favor and don't get *caught* doing it..." she says quietly, a sharp smile on her face. "If that is what you are being punished for..."
Gemini Man looks up at Synth a moment. "Naw...other stuff, too. Shot Knight Man and Elec Man with the Doc's new ray..." He pushes the broom again... "Just messing around with stuff."
Synth mmms quietly, and walks back over to sit on the medical table again. "Really... you would think that you would have learned by now not to tempt fate. But... few of you do, and it falls to me to put you back together time and again. At least the Doctor gave me some... better equipment to do the job with..." she says, stretching slightly... almost like a cat. "Tell me, do you like it?" she purrs again.
Synth
The young android known as Synth - hacker, medic, mechanic, and jack of all trades. She does not appear to be noticeably artificial at first, her design having been constructed so that her true nature is not easily discerned at first glance. Attractive, especially by the standards of most androids, Synth has a mop of black hair with a large, dark brown patch in the front, fanning outwards in a wave of color and subtly highlighted by the rest. A short tail falls down her back, her hair reaching down to mid-shoulder and restrained by a simple clasp. Dark green eyes look out upon the world, although there is an equal amount of coolness and curiosity to them - a desire to learn more of the world while at the same time remaining separate from it. As a final touch, Synth often wears a pair of wire rimmed glasses. A personal affection, as she does not need them in the least, but she finds the image they project to be satisfactory.
Gemini Man puts the broom back in the cabinet, then turns around, and...actually looks. He looks Synth up, and down. Then, he shrugs, and shuts the cabinet door. "There's no point in flirting with me. I can't do it right now."
Synth laughs, a little bit more warmly now. "Flirt? Why in the world would I do THAT?" she asks with genuine curiosity, resting one elbow on her knee and resting her chin on the back of one hand. "Certainly you can imagine what it feels like, finally being completely freed of a body that was meant to cripple your capabilities, to keep you from being everything you can..." She giggles, and pushes her glasses up slightly. "Ah, such a wonderful feeling... I wonder what I can do to improve on this design of the Doctor's..."
Gemini Man looks down at his busted arm. He feels crippled at the MOMENT, anyway. "Why don't you start with resealing the damage to my cannon arm?" he asks her, his voice tight with irritation. "You can leave the emitter alone. We just don't want to be leaking parts all over the floor." Unconciously, he shifts right back into the usual 'we.'
Synth slides off the table, and walks over to put a hand on Gemini's chest, pushing him back towards the medical bed. "Of course.. do step into my parlor..." she says with a grin, holding up her gauntleted hand. Her fingers moves slightly as she considers the damage to the crystal-like armor, and the best way to attack it. The material of the glove shifts, fortunately not into some demented drillbit of saw, but a simple medical scanner thatn Synth goes over the damage with.
Gemini Man hops up onto the bed, and holds his arm out, waiting, quietly, and very sullen. He's not even going to have a working right hand this week, as it's usually provided by the secondary emitter, when he hasn't activated the blaster. He starts to mentally tick off all the things he's going to have to learn to work without.
Synth considers the readings from her scanner for a moment, a faint smile running along her lips as she runs a few calculations through her computer. Yes, it was quite possible... indeed. Synth reaches up and touches her fingers to the top of the arm cannon, her fingers probing the cracks and breaks for a moment - and with a pull pull, she rips the armor completely off of the unit. "Now, that wasn't so bad, was it...?" she asks with a faint smile, reaching down and pressing her gloved hand to the exposed insides of the weapon. The glove itself seperates into a myriad number of smaller claws, each of them working on a different section to repair any damage. A moment passes, and Synth pulls her hand away, walking across the room to one of the computers. "Give me just a moment, and I should have a new shell for that arm delivered..." she says rather cheefully. Not minding that her rather rapid removal of that bit of armor probably HURT.
Gemini Man does cry out slightly when the arm is suddenly pulled away, but he coughs, and tries to cover it as best he can. "No...no problem," he says, as she begins to work. He tries to distract himself with some kind of interesting internal dialogue... his left hand shakes as Synth works through the pain, finally slamming, a few spastic twitches, on the cot next to him.
"Good, I'm glad we are on the same page," she says with a faint smile, walking over to one of the hoppers on the far side of the room - just as it spits out a pair of shards of armor. "Your weapon should see a .03% increase in efficiency - well worth a bit of a sting, don't you think?" she adds with a grin, walking over with the two shards of armor in hand. She places them over the exposed inside of Gemini's weapon, and shifts her glove into something that might be falled a welding torch... if you wanted to be so *primitive* about it. The actual process involves fusing the two plates togather, elimintaitng the seam so that the entire arm is once again a continuious whole. "Now, tell me now that feels?"
Gemini Man looks at the gun, rolling his hand over both ways. "Looks okay." His left hand, however, still seems to be twitching, even though the pain has stopped. Is it a malfunction? Gemini doesn't seem to be paying attention to it. "Thanks, Synth," he says, lowering the arm.
Synth nods once, and walks away from the Master, stretching slightly. "Bass said that you couldn't have your emitter back for a while - but when he does decided to give it back to you, let me know and I'll see what I can do, mmmm?" she says quietly, turning back to look at Gemini. "And do try to not hack people on our own side, Gem? There are enough people out there that are more deserving of our attention..."
Gemini Man finally notices that his hand is shaking, and he tries, in vain, to calm himself. "We know. ...We got Repliforce, too... we were just playing around." He hops off the medtable. "We're actually pretty good, honest. You just caught us at a...really bad show-off time. I guess we can talk shop...some time, right?"
Synth giggles slightly, and turns away, raising one finger over her shoulder in a bit of a chiding gesture. "Showing off? Tsk... it can be useful, but I hope you've learned to not do it as often. There is always a bigger fish..." She turns and smiles, adjusting her glasses. "But, it would not hurt to discuss things... and I could always used a skilled pair of helpers."
Gemini Man pauses on his way toward the exit. "Pair." He smiles, just a bit of an upturn toward his usual grin. "Well... he'll be back, EVENTUALLY," he says.
Synth nods, and goes back to her work in the medical bay... she certainly has enough to do, after her return to duty...
