Secret's Out

Barbary Coast

The former countries of Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria, as well as several wilder areas such as the Western Sahara and the Tripolitan wastelands make up a grouping of factions now united here under Robot Master rule. The southernmost parts of the areas are merely a dumping ground for the dregs of life, filled with communities still operating under simplistic and outdated technology. One can find many an illegal item here among the colorful streets of the conquered cities, and many a criminal character. On the northern coast, the technology level of the area sharply rises, as new city construction makes way for the Tidal Dam. No matter where you are, however, one thing remains the same...the constant presence of an outside gaze, as if someone, somewhere, was tracking your movements with every step. This is Wily's territory, under the control of his Gamma Masters. You are being watched.

Dynamo [Armored] [C]
Wilyworm [RM] [#6259 Tnp]
Sphere Outpost [Gamma]

Up leads to Sky Above Sahara.

Dynamo is standing idly atop a mosque in Algeria's largest city, a cloak wrapped around him while he idly gives an interview to some local news source. "Well, you see, I always felt that this area would be best served as an apolitical free zone... neutral ground, you know? There's been so much war here, and it's inevitable that this will be the front line when the Robot Masters and the CRF finally piss each other off enough to start fighting again."

Gemini Man is never particularly pleased after working 'dam duty.' But, since the security of the Gamma territory is vitally important, Gemini would be remiss not to pay his northern coast the occasional visit, checking the security of the ever-important border. That and he gets ordered to do it a lot whenever he messes up defending a raid somewhere else. Lucky for him, or whomever should happen to irritate him on his walk home.
Stepping off towards the telporters, a single twin, looking a bit tired and ready to head home...spots news cameras. Oo. A chance to mess up Tee Vee. That's always good for a laugh. Gemini stops a block short of the interview, trying to scope out the situation.

Dynamo continues to ham it up for the camera, leaning on the frontispiece of the temple, most likely violating all kinds of religious laws. "Well, first off, I think you guys should kick some Robot Master ass. They're not that tough. I've read about humans taking them down in single combat, and I know I've seen /kids/ punk them out in the past. I mean, really... what have they given you? I know they're shelling out the free stuff, but... but... what would Mohammed do? I bet he'd kick an ass or two, that's what I think Mohammed'd do."

"An interesting suggestion." The reporter seems to taking this seriously, if attempting not to inflect bias. Meanwhile, the cameraman's assistant has spotted the glint of Robot Master armor, as Gemini Man is in approach, at a walking pace. He taps the cameraman on the shoulder, and he, in turn, makes a 'cut it out,' gesture to the reporter...who doesn't notice it, still engrossed in completing this interview. "But do you really think a civilian militia would be able to build up the support nessicary to drive them out?"
The cameraman winces, and looks back in the direction of Gemini...who's now managed to meld into the crowd somehow or another. That can't be good.

Dynamo's eyes flicker as he follows the quick glances of the cameraman, smirking. "Oh, absolutely. I mean... Gamman Squadron is in charge of this land, right? They're blowhards... the whole lot of them. The only one that has any redeeming value is Snake Man, and that's just because I have to respect whiny scheming bastards like myself. The rest are tools... total wankers."

Gemini Man stops and blinks in place.

Now, while messing with the newscasters in a civilian-hologram disguise would have been his usual form of amusement, he's now heard a bit of who they're talking to. And cloak-covered or no, there really is NO mistaking that voice. ... Especially not since Gemini's had it 'on file' for ages now.
The human hologram that was allowing Gemini the luxury of being unobtrusive in the human ranks fades as quickly as he raised it, and this time, the Master shoves a human aside, and the crowd quickly breaks.

The reporter chuckles. He seems to be eating this up... "Well, I wouldn't go so far as to... AAAH!" The reporter leaps back with a start as he finally notices: Gemini Man, stomping toward Dynamo with a clear look of malice about him.

Dynamo's eyes widen as Gemini approaches, the mercenary grinning devilishly, adjusting his cloak carefully. "GERM-INI! Hermano! Buenos noches! Como estas! Me casa... er... me mosque es tu mosque!" He leaps, doubleflipping in the air, cloak hugging him as he lands in the crowd. "It's been a dog's age! How the hell have you been? Snake?" Flipping open the cloak, he tosses what he's been carefully keeping beneath it at Gemini... an asp.

Gemini Man is just about ready to whip some mercenary butt...really.
The snake somewhat precludes this. With a shout of panic, Gemini Man literally DIVES for cover, making a leap away from the tossed creature, knocking over a fruitstand on the streetside, and finally taking shelter behind a parked car.
The reporter knows comedy gold when she sees it. After the moment of dropped jaws from the human crowd, her instinct is to yell: "Are you getting this?? GET THIS ON TAPE!" at her crew.

Dynamo blinks now, since he wouldn't have dared fry his systems by doing so with another living being, leaving his cloak floating in the air. "Ah, my little Gemini," he says, reappearing behind the car, the unlit hilt of the D-Saber in hand. "Did you really think I was gonna leave you alone after your little stunt? Naughty boy..." He lights the sword with a quick motion, lunging out at Gemini quickly.
Dynamo strikes you with a minor hit from his Quick Slash for 8 units of damage.

Gemini Man expected to be bitten by a killer snake, not blindsided by a sabre. ...From his point of view, the sabre is a minor issue. At least when faced with not only the possible bite of a deadly wild animal, but ALSO career-ending humilation. Struck in the back by the blade, Gemini turns aside, and fires a shot very QUICKLY at Dynamo, by way of bouncing it off the car he's still standing near. Gemini's not paying much attention to the trajectory, hoping the laser will find its target. He's more concerned with glancing around the ground, hoping the deadly animal isn't nearby. "How did you find out...?!" he shouts, demandingly. He's asking in regards to the phobia, but Dynamo's free to assume as he wishes.
A second Gemini Man appears, never far from his brother, and wrests the camera away from the newscrew. The cameraman steps back, and the twin CRACKS the camera in two, in his hands. And without a second thought as to the wellbeing of Wily's citizens, this time, he punches the cameraman in the face. No human will REPORT this, on HIS watch.
You strike Dynamo with a minor hit from your Ricochet Blast attack.

Dynamo is struck, rolling with the blast to minimize the effect. He gets back to his feet quickly, dropping into a defensive stance as the second blade of his D-Saber ignites. "Aww, what's the matter, Gemmy-kun? Insecure about your failings in life? Maybe I oughta spray paint it onto the glass desert? Think you'd like wiping all of that clean? Maybe next time you won't piss me off." Falling fully into his sword defense groove, he lunges out once more with the D-Saber.
ynamo strikes you with a solid hit from his Dual Saber for 19 units of damage.
Dynamo puts his guard up.

Gemini Man flies back as the stronger attack cuts into his armor, and the crowd clears aside as the fight turns into a definite brawl. Gemini drops to his knees in the middle of the street, then lunges forward, trying to break through Dynamo's defense by knocking him with a tackle to the knees. It's not a finesse move, clearly, the kind of almost desperate lunge one makes when one is VERY angry.
The twin doesn't stop to realize what he's doing, either. The moment he considers the footage destroyed, he reaches out for the human reporter, grabbing her by the hair and pulling her back; her punishment will be next. ...When her neck snaps, it suddenly occurs to him. Not supposed to kill his own citizens. The Gemini twin stops, holding the body by the hair, He blinks once, uttering a single four-letter expression of dismay.
Dynamo deflects Twin Tackle from Gemini Man.
You miss Dynamo with your Twin Tackle attack.

Dynamo sweeps aside the tackle, moving with a ballet-like grace as he turns the momentum against Gemini, letting his momentum carry him aside, D peppering Gem's undefended back with a blast from the Split Buster, a weak pulse... but he's holding back at the moment. "Well, your clone is more interesting that you right now. But, you also realize, now, that..." His voice picks up, "That you'll have to kill ALL of these people, or word that you killed a man just because he looked at you with a camera is going to spread. Not good... NOT GOOD."
Dynamo misses you with his Plasma Blast attack.

Gemini Man leaps away from the pulse, and back to his feet, facing Dynamo again. ...Even if he might be able to turn the fight to his advantage, Dynamo has him on the ropes here.
But not about the death. After all, it's happened before. The Gemini hologram drops the body, which rests on the ground in a lump. The cameraman is clutching a crushed face, blinded and limping, though, at least, still moving. The hologram's still as strong as the original when it comes to breaking human faces. "RUN, and tell no one," the twin says to the crowds, looking around at those still brave enough to remain, "Or your LIVES are forfeit." Most leave, though a few brave souls run to alleys, peering out to watch.
Gemini Man tries to buy himself some time. Making a motion that looks as if he's firing his weapon again, he attacks Dynamo...not with a laser, but with a bolt of simple light, which moves a good deal quicker than his usual ammunition. The beam, in this case, aims for Dynamo's eyes.
You strike Dynamo with a glancing hit from your Hologram Flash attack.
Dynamo is temporarily disoriented by Gemini Man's Hologram Flash attack.

Dynamo staggers back, disoriented, any wry comments stilled for the moment as he blinks in pain.

Gemini Man doesn't attack again...not with his weapon, anyway. Rather, he marches forward, and grabs Dynamo roughly by the shoulder, pulling him close to him, so that the oddly flat, but seriously, EXTREMELY angry face of the Robot Master will be the first thing Dynamo notices when his faded sight starts to return. "ALL RIGHT," Gemini demands. "WHO told you, and WHAT is it going to take for you to SHUT up about it?"

Dynamo is shook like a rag doll, living in a movie... he smirks. "What will it take? Tell me what it takes to let me go, biznitch. I don't turn on an employer... not for the amount of money you can offer." Dynamo doesn't like being held so close, and tenses, a beam dagger sliding into each hand. "And all it will take for me to shut up... is for you to kill me... or die first!" Moving lightning fasts, his balled fists come up, striking and igniting the daggers in a smooth, quick movement, Dynamo not trying to break the hold... but to impale Gemini on his fists.
Dynamo strikes you with a solid hit from his Iajitsu Strike for 16 units of damage.

Gemini Man doesn't break the hold either. A tragic mistake. The daggers cut into his midsection, tearing the unarmored part of his body severely. So money won't get him out of this... "Suit yourself..." he says, through gritted teeth. Since Gemini has Dynamo there, he keeps him there, twisting his arm around to grab Dynamo around the neck. He tries to turn the body of the mercenary around, enough for the second twin to pop off a shot at Dynamo while he's still pinned.
You strike Dynamo with a minor hit from your Twin Trap attack.

Dynamo grrks, taking the hit with a grimace as his back armor is torn into, Dynamo pulling his hands away from the blade hilts. "Gemini, you're going to die, one way or another. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon... and for eternity. For now, I'll take as much of you as I can get." Right hand morphing back into the Split Buster, he fires, blasting away at Gem from close range with the arm cannon.
Dynamo misses you with his Buster Pulse attack.

Gemini Man lets go, this time, and when Dynamo attacks, he's out of the way. The mess that the other closerange attack has made of his body is more than clear. At least the black bodysuit hides the dripping mechfluid. "Really tick you off that much, huh?" Gemini says, sputtering tiredly, but raising his arm cannon for another shot at Dynamo.
"The feeling's mutual," says the clone, sounding a bit calmer about the situation, hopeless even though it might seem. He too, aims his weapon, and two white blasts fire at Dynamo simultaniously.
You strike Dynamo with a minor hit from your Double Shot attack.

Dynamo is struck again, finally deciding not to be this chewtoy anymore, blinking out of the way after he's hit, staggering with damage. "Oh, it's nothing personal... wait a minute... yes it is." Dynamo snarls, crackling with electricity... it looks like damage, but it's not the hunter snarling as his hair flies in a nonexistent breeze, Dynamo striking the ground, and causing the surroundings to explode with electricity.
Dynamo misses you with his Energy Pulse Field attack.

Gemini Man jumps back from the field of energy, and it crackles at his feet where he lands again, a fair distance away from Dynamo's new position. "Quit moving around," he says, pulling back his arm and firing at Dynamo with a rapid succession of hits, that bounce off of the street as well as flying toward the mercenary directly. The second Gemini Man seems content to join in this dual assault, keeping the pressure on with a series of small blasts.
You miss Dynamo with your Laser Barrage attack.

Dynamo blinks around as Gemini shoots around, reappearing in the air, standing on the edge of a building momentarily before diving down, lancing out with the D-Saber as he continues his attacks against the Robot Master. "What, like you can't get enough of me. You know I'm your hero... why else would you want to imitate, lamer?"
Dynamo misses you with his Saber Slash attack.

The hologram seems at least amused at this accusation. "Well, I won't deny that messing with your reputation got us out of the HOUSE..."
Gemini turns aside from the attack, the slash passing by him by inches, and and raises his weapon... firing at Dynamo with one large blast to follow the succession of small ones. "To irritate you? Seems to have worked," Gemini suggests instead.
You strike Dynamo with a solid hit from your Gemini Cannon attack.

Dynamo ergs, blasted by the Gemini Cannon, and staggering. "Oh piss off, child. You have no idea what you're dealing with. I, on the other hand..." He blinks, reappearing near the dead reporter, scooping him up rather than attacking, "Have just thought of something better to do. Ja ne!" He shimmers as he begins blinking again.
Dynamo retreats from the area swiftly, outdistancing all pursuit and parting shots.
Dynamo blinks away with the reporter's body.

Dynamo blinks to another location.
Dynamo has left.
