Hologram Hilarity Great Britain Approaching this set of islands, one can see a massive network of bridges and zoom tubes, or EMP slide cars that radiate from London, connecting the major cities of England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland into an intricate macrocosm. From the mystic highlands of the north to the glistening tower of Big Ben II, the isles exude a sense of durability, stamina and perseverance unmatched. The vigilant navy patrols the waters of this area, standing tall and proud for their home country, ready to guard against both Maverick and Robot Masters.
[Stealthed] Psych Mosquito [Cloak] [M] London
Obvious exits: Iris remarks to the Senator... "In the springtime and summer, the entire grounds are covered in perennial blossoms and tulips...I helped plant them, they're really very pretty..." She conveniently leaves out the part that it was her -punishment- to plant -all- of the flowers on the grounds of RHQ-London, for her little stunt the previous summer which had her expelled from Repliforce. Dynamo, bounty hunter extraordinare, steps out of the city gates, glancing warily around him for signs of trouble. Approaching the gates of the Headquarters, he pauses, only momentarily, to take in the sight. Ah, Iris, just the person he was looking to find. Under the red visor, his gaze lingers over her, then he begins a dedicated stride toward the headquarters. Connor Erstad smiles to Iris and nods. "It sounds very lovely, and I believe I've seen some pictures of them...though I'm sure the real thing is far nicer." Examining the grounds and the impressive fortifications, he does seem quite impressed at how well the base has been incorporated into the sub-suburban landscape. "Tell me, how much of a standing detail is there? Or are most forces here a ready-reaction type of force?" Iris hmms. "I don't really know," she admits with a smile. She's not yet seen 'Dynamo', though she probably will pretty soon when he gets near enough. "My brother is the numbers guy, he knows exactly how many troops are where and when. Umm...I CAN tell you that this place has a LOT of troops. A -whole- lot." Dynamo pushes forward toward the gates. Walking directly toward Iris, he interrupts the conversation between the senator and the Repliforcer with great impunity, giving Connor a slight shove out of his way, as if dealing with the dignitary is entirely beneath him. Facing Iris directly, he meets her gaze with the one hidden behind his own red visor. "Iris. I need to talk to you." He glances toward the building, then, toward her again, taking her in. "I do not have a lot of time." This last part was certainly true, as was the subtle fear that was coursing over him, almost indetectable, at first, though a patient eye could see that his hands were shaking, ever slightly, telegraphing the real urgency of his mission. Iris backs off in surprise as Dynamo all-but-pushes the Senator out of the way. "Huh?! What..." She stares up at Dynamo, alarmed. "What is this about??" Psych Mosquito, thanking wondrous stealth, stands cloaked among the situation, picqued at faux-Dynamo's urgency himself. He doesn't see the need to reveal himself quite yet, of course, but he's waiting. Connor Erstad smiles and begins to resond to Iris, but then is shoved slightly by this black clad interloper, and even as he resteadies his balance, his voice speaks with a cross between surprise and annoyance. "Pardon me, sir? But could perhaps you show some better manners?" In the background, the DPG agents in Connor's limousice are definently not pleased by this, and some rustling among the troops can be heard, though they watch before acting. Dynamo huffs at the senator, and dismissively waves off his guards. Not worth my time. Moreover, he ignores Iris' irritation, and, in fact, takes another step toward her, testing the boundaries of her personal space. "These troops you speak of. Protection." His eyes soften slightly. "I will not bother you with details, Iris, but... I have made a mistake, a mistake I'm beginning to regret...in dealing with the Hunters, and..." his voice hardens into ice... "the Robot Masters. You have to REALIZE. They are everywhere. Even here, still looking for me..." 'Dynamo' has to stop himself from going into full-tilt 'ham' mode as he ponders, let's see, Hard Man, Centaur Man, Bass, who else was taking pieces out of Dynamo lately? He lets the thought reflect off his visor while he pauses, then, he takes a chance. Leering slightly at Iris, he takes another step toward her, reaching one arm slowly around her back. "I was hoping your organization could provide me with...what I need." Iris is, of course, very easily manipulated...while she's very kindhearted, she's also very easily led astray, especially by a sob story. "Oh!...well...what is it that, umm, that you believe you need? What sort of...protection?" she asks Dynamo, green eyes wide in alarm. Connor Erstad blinks, more than a bit surprised, and watches the scene unfold in front of him. Psych Mosquito's voice now takes the opportunity to prove itself. "Vulgar." Not much of a condemnation, more an observation. A white robe billows from thin air behind Dynamo, and Psych Mosquito now stands within it, matching top hat and cane. He calmly raps Dynamo on the back. "To stand so close. You understand, I trust?" Iris is already a bit on-edge, and she nearly jumps as Mr. Mosquito suddenly appears in place behind Dynamo. Psych Mosquito raises a feeler in a reassuring gesture. "Calm, Iris. Judgement is impaired by anxiety." If she'd like to help the fellow, she'd do it best calmed. Connor Erstad steps back a bit involuntarily as well. "Pardon me, sir! But what exactly to either of you two gentlemen think you're doing?" I mean, this is just past outright rude...especially appearing in thing air. I mean, really, it's a damned un-English way to behave. The hunter's hackles raise slightly at the voice from behind him. Then, his look of surprise drifts to a look of frustration. "Vulgar? I apologize..." But, as if to drive the point home that he simply does not care, he snaps his hand out and lays it on Iris' waist. Then, ignoring the Mosquito, he looks into Iris' eyes again, and smiles at her...a creepy, mischevious smile. "I'm so glad you understand. Perhaps we can discuss this somewhere more private. Hm?" Iris is, indeed, creeped-out at this point. "Well...well -no!- I'm not going anywhere private with you, I'm sorry!" She does a little bit of a side-step maneuver, to get a bit of distance between her and the randy critter. "I'm willing to hear you out, though, if...if that's sufficent." Rap, now more forceful. "Vulgar, vulgar! I hate to interrupt, as the Senator rightly notes about the thing," Psych Mosquito /does/ watch the news, "but I cannot stand by. I suggest filing for harrassment, myself. Nice and clean a thing. There /is/ a statute of limitations, I believe I recall." He as an aside offers Erstad a small bow and a consolatory, "I would introduce myself were I not to attend this first." Connor Erstad nods to the at least somewhat more polite gentleman in the top hat. "Indeed. Sir...your actions seem both desperate and quite rude...why should she even concede to aid you given your rough treatment of her?" oO(Tick, tock. TICK them off faster.)Oo oO(I'm working on it! This is a delicate process!)Oo The beautiful thing about this operation? No radio required. "Really." Dynamo huffs a bit at Connor, and at the Mosquito, he directs the question, "And what is YOUR part in this? I am only here to speak to..." he leers again... "the lady." Psych Mosquito peers over at Iris and Connor, no longer affording 'Dynamo' a glance. "I'm sure one of you has access to the proper authorities? There's no use wasting time of the day on fellows such as him." Dynamo cries out, "Everyone is against me!" in a self-absorbed moment of dramatic flare. Iris pouts, putting her hands on her hips and staring up at Dynamo. "What -is- your problem? No see here, there's no need to be acting this way...I don't really -want- to press charges. What I want to do, in my heart, is to help you. But you're not really explaining what sort of 'help' that you're needing." Connor Erstad says, "If everyone is against you, sir..." And that Sir is full of a good bit of distaste, "It is because you seem to be quite disruptive, indeed." Psych Mosquito raises a hand. "Ah! very noble, Iris. But I really should say, if he be afforded assistance, that it should be asked of another official, in the hopes that the process may go without such, say, impropriety. It would be better for him as well, as this whole business is quite distracting." Dynamo snaps out of his dramaticism and gets to the point. "Iris. Do you believe that the force might provide me with some sort of sanctuary here? While I am still on the run from those...unorganized ruffians Wily used to call troops?" There is a glitter across his visor as he speaks, as if a grand punchline is about to be delivered... Iris sends a radio transmission. Connor Erstad scowls slightly at Dynamo, the still demanding and rough tone of the Bounty Hunter's demands definently grating on him. Iris receives a radio transmission. Iris looks from her friend in the hat-and-coat, over to the Senator, and then finally over to the brash Dynamo. "That...might be a possibility. Let me ask and find out, okay?" Out from the gates strides the 10ft fire cat, Flare Feline. After hearing Iris' situation over the radio, he thought it would be best if he just stuck his head on, so to speak, and make sure nothing is going wrong. He looks at the four figures gathered "..so what's going on here?" Iris sends a radio transmission.
Connor Erstad nods to the Cat Reploid and quickly checks his insignia. "Hello, Leftenant. The captain was to be giving a tour of the base to me, before we were interrupted by this...gentleman." A wave of slight English derison should strike Dynamo with that, "And this person appeared, I believe to speak to the Captain as well." Good, an honest to goodness 'forcer. Dynamo cracks his knuckles a little, then dives forward toward Iris, putting his arm around her back. "Glad to hear it. When I do move in...can I stay in YOUR room?" Iris is standing near the front gates of RHQ-London, with the Senator and the enigmatic Mr. Mosquito. Immediately next to her, in her personal space, is a very overfriendly Dynamo. Iris says, "HEY!!" Connor Erstad says, "SIR!" Psych Mosquito shakes his head. "Oh, just passing through and I happened to chance upon this. I do rather dislike it." As Dynamo leaps upon Iris, he narrows his eyes, and holographically seems to pull backwards upon thin air where he stands. In reality, cloaked, he pulls backwards quickly upon Dynamo to pull the fellow off Iris. Always he has to have flair in doing things. "Now, see here, fellow." No finish to the sentence, of course. Flare Feline looks back from Iris, to Dynamo, to Connar, and back to Iris again. "Asylum, right..." Then Dynamo grabs her "Hey! Get away from her. We certainly won't be accepting anyone into asylum if you act like that!" He steps right up, just a few feet away, making it clear he'd seperate him from her himself if he had to. Dynamo pushes against the Mosquito's grasp, struggling toward Iris. His frightened pleas for aid against the outside forces take on a more desperate tone, and change subject entirely. "Iris! Just listen to me, just to me! With you on my side there is not a force I can't stand up to..." He shoves back at Psych Mosquito, overpowering the multiple grasping arms, and tearing away from his grasp, back toward Iris, almost knocking her over. "Call them off..." he says, in a lower intonation, "and we can discuss this." He meets her gaze. "I love that look in your eyes." Connor Erstad is just about done with this young man's atttitude. "Leftenant...I think it might be best if you restrained that...man." A UN senator cannot swear in public without VERY good justification. And while we're getting close, he's not there yet. Such an overbearing approach might work on Sonic or even Mirror Pegasus, but Iris is just too nice of a girl to enjoy getting hit upon in such a rude manner. Covering her mouth with her hand in a gesture of horror, she begins backing away from him, step by step. "Oh dear...stop talking that way, -stop- it! Or I most certainly will NOT call them off. Have you never learned any....manners??"
Jet Stingray arrives from the Rooftop Hangar Bay - RHQ London. As Iris back away, Flare steps between them "Alright, that's enough. If you want asylum you'd probably have to talk to the Colonel or General. But after the way you've been acting, I don't think you have much chance of it." Psych Mosquito seems quite dissatisfied, and steps back into his hologram after stumbling backwards a bit cloaked, decloaking seamlessly. He seems quite content to leave it to the authorities now that they've finally stepped in.
Psych Mosquito sends a radio transmission to Iris. From the skies comes a golden reploid, landing some distance away from the group in question. As the reploid walks toward them, it is revealed that it is none other than Repliforcer Jet Stingray. He wears a Santa hat, which is pushed forward a bit, the fluffy white ball swinging back and forth like a pendulum. He makes the motion like he is rolling up his sleeves, even though he doesn't have them. Someone isn't a happy camper it would seem. Dynamo responds, "I'd like to have everything. But, if I have to pick between the favor, and Iris..." He smiles eerily at her. "She'll choose me herself, after all. What more could you POSSIBLY want?" He opens his arms wide, as if to show himself off to her while he waits for the frightened girl to simply jump into his arms. "I'd back off, if I were you," he says to Flare. "You wouldn't want to come between us." Connor Erstad snaps his fingers. "That is QUITE enough." Several Diplomat Protection Group Agents come out, forming a semicircle behind the senator. "Sir...regardless of you...desires, I believe you have imposed on the captain MORE than enough. As a representative of the UN, the Security Council, and Her Majesty the Queen, I ORDER you to leave this area, before steps are taken to EJECT you." Yes, its' starting to sound very clear that this man knew his way around fleet commands.
Iris sends a radio transmission. Blaze Wolf emerges from the depths of the headquarters, not being quite as quick as the Stingray. He slows slightly, as he sees the scene, and cautiously approaches the Captain and her *ahem* admirer.
Psych Mosquito sends a radio transmission. Iris scoots her small self behind Flare...absolutely NOT wanting Dymano to re-enter her personal space. "Huh?? What are you talking about? You'd better listen to the Senator, you...loon!" "Oh, most likely he won't, sadly enough," Psych Mosquito with an ambiguously weary tone about this sort of fellow. "They never." Flare Feline shakes is head at Dynamo, still keeping himself between him and Iris "Don't count on it, I'm not moving." He looks over as Jet arrives, good, some back up here for this lunatic "I'd say your chances of getting asylum here now are slim and nil, and nil's about to fly out the window if you keep harrassing Iris like this." "If I were Flare, I won't get stand in your way. Not when I'm more than willing to do so." Now, Iris is known as the 'Repliforce Princess'. And where would the princess be without the knights that are willing to fight for her? Folding his arms as he moves to be inbetween Iris and Dynamo and about five feet to the left, Jet positions himself so that the two can see one another but clearly appear as just one of her defenders. "Now, I think that Iris deserves to hear an 'I'm sorry' from you, dude. Now give it and leave peacefully like the UN sir said," the Stingray of Honor states in a 'no nonsense' tone. oO(Run, you moron!)Oo screams in the Dynamo dopple's head, from his other voice somewhere in the outskirts of the city. But Dynamo shows no fear at the 'forcers' approach. He doesn't take another step toward her, simply stands, staring at her...and activates his saber, which glows pinkwhite with its double-blades. "Are your guards human, Senator? It is a bad idea for them to threaten me. A very bad idea. And maybe I don't FEEL like leaving," he says to Stingray, his smart-alek tone taking on a whole new level. Blaze Wolf isn't really the kind to talk big or anything. However, he does limp into place beside Iris as one of her protectors. However, he does emit a low growl when Dynamo activates his saber. "Bad move. Very bad." Connor Erstad bristles, and most of the men with him spread out for combat at those words. "Human...yes...but enough to deal with an uncouth ruffian like you, sir...MEN! FORM WEDGE!" In a practiced move, the men move into a combat Wedge, supporting to the Repliforce. Iris' eyes are HUGE as Dynamo activates his saber. "Wh...What are you -doing-?" she whispers in horror. None of this is making sense to her, and it's been giving her a bad feeling all the way up to this point -- as when one is tricked by a con man. Dynamo smiles again at her, that trickster's smile, then reaches up and pulls off his red visor, revealing his strikingly blue optics beneath. "It's all right. We don't have to do this here." His image begins to shimmer, as if he is preparing to teleport out. "I know where you live." Gemini Man retreats from the area swiftly, leaving him open to pursuit or parting shots from Jet Stingray, Colonel, Psych Mosquito, and Flare Feline. Psych Mosquito narrows his eyes further, and the robe flutters aside vanishing as it had appeared before, and appearing again behind Flare and Iris. "I should rather get aside this. I rather have the feeling I should." To explain. He doesn't take a shot at 'Dynamo,' however capable he is; it's not good to his image to use military weaponry outside a Repliforce military base. Iris looks behind her, as Psych reappears there. "Sorry for the...mess," she says with an awkward shrug, even as the Senator's men join the Repliforcers already preparing to go after Dynamo. "This...wasn't in the itinerary," she admits.
Jet Stingray opens his back panel to reveal two Hunter Mines, having locked onto the one that dare to be so crude to Iris when he turned his weapon on. "Good, then come back when you want a fight because next time you'll get one..." The two brown stingray circle around Jet like sharks. "And this is just a taste of what you will get!" With that, he fires off the two Hunter Mines which home in on their target. Normally Jet doesn't attack those that are retreating, but... He feels this is the least he can do to show what happens to those that threaten a certain Repliforce Communications Officier.
Connor Erstad smiles to Iris as Dynamo gets driven off. "You can't be blamed for interruptions like that, Captain. Don't worry, I'm not put out in the slightest." As his men silently back up and return to the cars, he smiles. "Well...how would you like to proceed?"
Flare Feline growls slightly at all the big talk and turing aft and running "Jerk! Don't show your face around here until you drop that attitude!" Firing up a low power projectile, he hurls a firey bomb at the retreating mercenary.
Dynamo is stung by the explosive before he fades away. and it momentarily engulfs him. His open-eyed glare toward the cat is the last of him that remains before he vanishes entirely.
You turn off your holographic projection of Dynamo. Iris sighs. "You...came here for a tour, Senator. I owe you at least that." (If something ELSE insane doesn't happen before we reach the front doors,) she thinks in dismay. [Radio: (A) Masters] Guts Man transmits, "So what's going down?" [Radio: (A) Masters] Gemini Man transmits, "Anybody seen Quick Man lately?" [Radio: (A) Masters] Beta CO Heat Man transmits, "Actually...No. He hasn't reported back on the mission I sent him on, either." [Radio: (A) Masters] Gemini Man transmits, "Really. Well... so...what the heck is his problem?" [Radio: (A) Masters] Guts Man transmits, "Maybe he's dead?" [Radio: (A) Masters] Beta CO Heat Man transmits, "I doubt that...someone kick ERWIN and get a tracker location? I doubt he's quite as crafty as Crystal about disabling those." [Radio: (A) Masters] Blitz Attack Quick Man transmits, "Not yet." [Radio: (A) Masters] Blitz Attack Quick Man transmits, "I can't come back home yet, Heat! Proto Man is after me, and I don't want you guys to get hurt." [Radio: (A) Masters] Beta CO Heat Man transmits, "Quick...I told you to do reconnassaince, not suicide!" [Radio: (A) Masters] Blitz Attack Quick Man transmits, "I was on recon duty, but he kinda saw through my disguise, and I got him angry..." [Radio: (A) Masters] Gemini Man transmits, "Quick Man, on RECON? We assume you weren't looking for subtlty..." [Radio: (A) Masters] Enker transmits, "Knowing Protoman, his anger will not be abated so easily. You may wish to simply go for a waltz in the park somewhere, and let him get it over with, Quick Man, however much I do not wish to see you in pieces." Wily Sphere - Computer Core (Green level) Congratulations! You've just found the nerve center for Wily Sphere. The walls glow with the computer displays of hundreds of monitors, shining alongside of thousands of indicator lights. In the middle of the room, surrounded by a clear casing, is the main power generator. A soft glow pulses over the power core, bathing the area close to the center of the room in a soft bluish light. There are several levels to both the computer accesses and the power core, and metal catwalks connect everything to everything. E.R.W.I.N. [RM]
Obvious exits: [Radio: (A) Masters] Gemini Man says, in an ulterior-motive sort of way, "Wannnt me to get a fix on his location for you, Heat Man?" [Radio: (A) Masters] Beta CO Heat Man transmits, "Hrm...Might be best..." Gemini Man walks into the core room, up to the main computer. "ERWIN, can you get a scan on Quick Man?" E.R.W.I.N. hums. "Processing." E.R.W.I.N. says, "Come back in about a month. It'll be done then." Gemini Man huffs. He figured he'd get this kind of reaction. "Look, it's not for official business, it's just so I can scare the beejeezus out of him. Will that speed your processing power any?" E.R.W.I.N. says, "Bite me." Gemini Man rolls his eyes, and mutters to himself. Stupid freakin son-of-a... "Pretty pleeeease?" he finally asks the machine.
E.R.W.I.N. shrugs. As much as he can. "Fine. Here." Gemini Man jumps over to read the coordinates, suddenly excited as a preschooler on pixie stix. "Thanks, ERWIN! I'll send ya a video!" E.R.W.I.N. says, "Yeah, yeah. As long it involves twin sisters having hot sex, then I'll take that video. Otherwise, piss off, because your ass is mine." Gemini Man rushes off, despite the scintillating conversation he's certain the computer can provide. At least he got the coordinates, but how could you not hate that machine... Eurasia - Empire Central Square This area is by far as breathtaking as any downtown megalopolis area, but even moreso due to the large dome that covers the top of it revealing the black emptiness of space, disturbed only by the defiant light from the hundreds of stars. This is the main hub of activity on the space colony Eurasia, and it's easy to tell. Mobs of people constantly rush through the streets and sidewalks at all hours of the day. Armed guards watch over the proceedings carefully, making sure things continue to run smoothly and efficiently with as few disturbances as possible. Quick Man [Derek] [RM]
Obvious exits: Quick Man sits on a bench near an artificial stream, and looks into the starry sky, thinking about the way things have been going. Gemini Man steps out of the teleporter area. ...these were the coordinates... He peers around, huddled in his own meager disguise, and spots Quick Man in contemplative mode. He snickers. Poor guy. Then, he heads for a nearby shadow.
You project a holographic image of Blues. Quick Man looks behind him, wondering who's stupid enough to annoy him. Blues grins, and whispers, "Boo." Quick Man screams, jumps up, and takes off at full throttle away from Blues. Running? Running is no good, as Blues can effortlessly teleport from one location to another, even outmatching Quick Man's speed. Or, in this case, that teleport being simulated by a blink-in, and blink-out, from Gemini Man's holographic projectors, until the hunter's image is standing exactly where Quick Man is already racing. The yellow scarf blows in the wind, and the Blues image sinks into a fighting stance, buster charging. Quick Man expected Proto Man to do something like that, and he had quickly thought up a plan as soon as he saw him. He doesn't screech to a halt, he instead keeps running straight at Blues, at supersonic speed. The area is suddenly swarmed with local police, who make it clear this is a No Combat area. Blues blinks in, blinks out, neatly bypassing the charge, then shakes a finger at Quick Man as if to ward him off. "Jummmpy jumpy!" says a voice from the shadows. "I know!" Blues says, and shrugs. "What DID we do?" Quick Man is still running, foo. He isn't going to stop to fight. [Radio: (A) Masters] Gemini Man transmits, "Well, we found Quick Man. He seems awwwfully jumpy; we haven't the faintest idea why. Oh, well." [Radio: (A) Masters] Guts Man transmits, "Think it's time we had Tron look him over for possible defaults?" [Radio: (A) Masters] Beta CO Heat Man transmits, "Hrm..." [Radio: (A) Masters] Blitz Attack Quick Man transmits, "Because Proto Man is afte- I'm going to kill you, Gemini Man."
Blues shrugs, and blinks out.
[Radio: (A) Masters] Enker transmits, "Quick Man." [Radio: (A) Masters] Gemini Man clogs the channel with uproarious laugher. [Radio: (A) Masters] Blitz Attack Quick Man transmits, "Uh, yes Enker?" [Radio: (A) Masters] Enker transmits, "You will leave what safety you have managed to procure for yourself, and allow Protoman to dismember you." [Radio: (A) Masters] Waste Disposal Dust Man transmits, "Then I get to put him back together wrong!" [Radio: (A) Masters] Gemini Man is still laughing, so that makes this all a bit hard to hear. [Radio: (A) Masters] Blitz Attack Quick Man transmits, "*sigh* Alright..." [Radio: (A) Masters] Guts Man transmits, "Put that boomerang of his upside down on his aft so it acts as a spoiler." [Radio: (A) Masters] Beta CO Heat Man transmits, "Gemini...can it, or I'll tell Snake to have a 3 hour meeting with you about Gamma's raiding schedule." [Radio: (A) Masters] Gemini Man chokes a little, then coughs, snickers, and shuts up. [Radio: (A) Masters] Enker transmits, "Indeed. If such an incident occurs again, without at least the consideration of turning the volume down, you will join Quick Man in his fate." [Radio: (A) Masters] Gemini Man transmits, "Erm...yessirs. Come on, Quick Man, I'll walk ya...somewhere not safe." [Radio: (A) Masters] Blitz Attack Quick Man transmits, "I don't need your help to get my aft kicked." [Radio: (A) Masters] Gemini Man transmits, "Suit yourself. See ya later, maybe." Gemini Man waves, even if Quick doesn't see it, then heads off.
