Dead Zone Cuba [Bass sent us this log, so when it says 'he' and 'you,' that's him, not us.] Cuba The island of Cuba - once a stronghold of communism in North America, the island underwent a massive economic collapse in the mid 2100s, returning most of the nation to primative wilderness and sparse rural life. Fishing villages dot the coastline, as does the ruins of the city that was once Havana and became Robotropolis.
Fusion Phoenix is at small observation buncker just outside of Robotropolis, set up recently as a fallback position for those studing the new crime wave at the sourse. Fusion is there both to provide any medical support needed, and because, well, he can handle himself in a fight. He stands on top of the partialy burried building, scaning for potential threats. Yellow eyes burn down like hot coals, observing the broken city from a distance. Above them, other eyes stare down with mild interest, turning out towards the grey sea beyond. Wind scars the blasted rock, the remnants of a Repliforce aircraft rusting just beyond the stony blocks. "I suppose I'm here to watch the rocks grind down?" he asks sarcastically. "Or did you bring me out here to avoid staining the floor of the Sphere?" For future refference, the Repliforce Bunker is on the slope of hill, facing the ruined city. It is well concealed, but the effort put into hiding it is spoiled by the 14 foot tall red reploid in orange armor standing on top of it.
The wide brown eyes of the other master follow the more narrowed gaze that leads toward the city. Then, a second materializes behind him, looking out at the bunker, and the blaze of feathers atop it. "Nothing in particular," says the first, "but I do love a good crime spree."
Fusion Phoenix continues to scan the area, untill his eyes are caught by a fimilar robot and his twin. oO(Not him again... well as long as he starts nothing)Oo Then he notices the Master next to him. A master that is hard not to reconise. oO(Bass! I haven't sceen him since he was called a cheap plot device on the Crash Man hour! I just hope he dosen't want to pick a fight with Repliforce today...)Oo Heavy booted *THUDS* rumble through the area as the monsterous figure of Megalith begins to appear from the jungle brush. Making its way across the region like a monsterous sherman tank with legs. The ride armored sized reploid cutting a swath through the area be force of sheer size alone. Given that he's practically as wide as an airplane's wingspans and as tall as a building.. His presence is not easily ignored or missed. The russian bear cuts his eyes across the area. Red optics gleaming abit until his sensors focus on Fusion Phoenix.. and then with a pumping of hydraulics and a visible lurching of synth-muscle and flesh..the behemoth turns and makes a bee-line for him. Bass turns his eyes, looking down at the flame-orange tower before the hill... that slowly reveals itself as a bunker. "Great. All we need are the Hunters and we'll have a matching set," he says, arms crossed. Treble's eyes remain on the dark city, tail lashing slowly behind until the Repliforce Giant appears. A snarling growl echoes from the beast, even as Bass' eyes whirl, and settle.... "Well, well," the Dark Knight whispers, the beginning of a savage smile growing. "Looks like an old friend has shown up..." Gemini Man steps back a little at Gigas' sudden approach, and looks a bit unsure at Bass' growing grin. "You can HAVE him," says Gemini. "Are you going to start a fight, just like that?" Fusion Phoenix hears Megalith coming over, and turns his head brefly to confirm identity before returning his gaze to the Masters. He extends his arm towards the Wilybots as his comarade approches. "We may have some trouble from over there." Megalith Gigas's head swivels slightly on his stocky neck and focuses in on the direction that Fusion indicates. His robotic pupils whirring and dilating until they lock onto the Masters in the distance...attemping to discern spefific features. He frowns abit and then purses his lips together int hought and then he rumbles "Da, so it would seem. Hrrrrn..they would seem to be merely observing for now. Starting a fight may not be wise.. They are very far. Can you tell who is there?" White eyes twist down on Gemini, the smile turning into a feral grin. "Yeesss," he states simply, eyes burning with hatred. Without another word, Treble flattens against the earth, shifting and transforming into the jet sled. Stepping upon the living platform, both rise into the air, whirling to aim on the Repliforce bunker. "Think of it as opportunity," Bass snarls over to Gemini. "You get the opportunity to see what's in that bunker...," he says, voice chilling. "And I carve another strip out of his titan hide." Purple eyes glaring malevolently, Bass surges forward with a roar, Treble's thrusters blasting behind him. Fusion Phoenix nods at Mega. "I'm here to suport the base, not pick fights with Masters. The dark one is the infamous Bass, and the shiny one looks to be Gemini Man." "Hm. Bass." Megalith rumbles as he activates his radio. "It is good to perhaps be prepared for a fight. Bass is unpredictable but also very dangerous. I have encountered him numerous times before during time in service prior to my refitting." He pauses as Bass begins his aproach and then he raises his massive hand upward and shakes it slightly. The internal systems of his huge forarm whirring to life and a massive cannon like attachment flipping upward from a lengthy panel along his arm. He raises the arm upward and begins to charge the weapon though he doesn't fire yet as Bass begins his approach. "Hm...they are coming." Gemini Man shrugs. "Suit yourself," he says, after the already-charging Bass. "Want to go 'shopping'?" he asks his other. "*I* can take the pheonix," he adds, and the other laughs. "That's true. Why don't you go ahead? I'll catch up with you later." They grin identical grins at one another, then, one of them takes off toward the bunker. The other watches a while, then turns off toward the city, humming to himself. Fusion Phoenix's eyes narrow as two of the Masters move towards the bunker. oO(Gotta be carefull...)Oo He crouches, before launching himself, and begining to "circle strafe" over them. "Looks like we are going to need to fight."
Jets flare white hot as Bass rips across the landscape. Dust and scree rip up behind him in a roostertail, scattering as gritty clouds in his wake. Ignorant, perhaps uncaring, of Gemini's 'splitting', the Master comes on... And his intentions are revealed instantly, with the first simple stream of white fire arcing in at the giant(er) Repliforcer.
The white stream of energy arcs towards the giant of Repliforce. Burnign across the landscape and disappearing into virtual speck like sizes as it approaches the giant and is swallowed up by the girth of his huge frame. Eventually the energy impacts alongst his great chest but Megalith barely blinks. If that and simply stands there..carefully targetting the racing Bass while replying to the Phoenix, "They have started this conflict. We must defend ourselves and our bunker, da?" There's a loud *FHOOOM* and then another and then another as the behemoth lays out a spread of pulse energy from the cannons attached to his right arm. Firing at Bass.
Fusion Phoenix saturates the area containg Gemini Man with rapid fire plasma blasts. *thoomthoomthoom* oO(At least there are no civilians to worry about...) *thoomthoomthoom*
Gemini Man is still a good ways behind his more powerful brother, but his fight seems to e coming to him. He winces as Bass is struck; he doesn't envy him his opposiation. Then, he dives aside as the plasma attacks stream toward him. "Hello again!" he calls out toward the phoenix. "Good to see your AIM hasn't improved!" Then, he sets his stance, and returns fire with a single blast of his own. The Dark Master snarls as the first concussive pulse hammers down; magnetic clamps strain, gripping ferociously onto the jetsled... But the second, and third impacts tear the Master free from his perch, hurling him down against dust.
Howling its fury, the jetsled-robodog demorphs in midair, golden eyes flashing hellish in the light. Landing with a crunch, Treble's jaws spread wide, unleashing that howl in a sub-sonic pulse of his own.
Fusion Phoenix dives sharply, letting the laser pass through the space he might of occupied, and wanting to close quickly with the small master. As he plummets, he continues to spray plasma blasts at Gemini Man. Go self refilling ammo suplies!
"Depart!" Megalith orders. The biggest of reploids raising his huge hand up and gesturing with a dismissive gaze as the sonic growl explodes into his huge body. Staggering it but barely moving the massiveness of the synth-flesh there. The giant looks to Treble and then to Bass again and then he glances upward at the fight between Gemeni and Phoenix and squints. His attention then returns to Treble but he doesn't attack just yet. "Hrngh. Bass... I know you and that you hold grudges but this is not a fight worth our times. Return to your father..da?"
Gemini Man jumps up as the phoenix leaps down. With a flip and a twist, he vaults into the air, attempting not to tackle the enormous reploid, but to simply use him as unwilling transportation.
Silence is the answer, save for the growling Treble emits as he stalks to one side, tail arcing up and over the mechanical dog like a scorpion's tail. A stray blast of plasma fire ignites the earth behind the hound, casting actinic shadows across the metallic form as it stalks slowly... Then a foot slips near the opposite side, a steel foot grinding against the stone as Bass' position become obvious; from either side, Master and Beast surge forward against Gigas, Bass' thrusters igniting as he hurtles forward.
Fusion Phoenix heys as he is mounted. "Sorry, paying riders only!" So Fusion does what he allways does when he gets an uninvited gest. He crashes himself! Hopfully breaking his fall with Gemini Man. >:)
Dynamo arrives from the Sky Above Caribbean Sea.
"Hrngh!" Megalith rumbles loudly as the flames have an additional effect begin to scorch and lick at synth-flesh, hair and muscle sensative to extreme heats. He staggers abit and then rumbles loudly, "Hrngh! So then..you don't speak any more? Very well then." He grunts and strikes back at the attacking Master and his loyal pet. His huge palm hurtling around and down for Treble first to try and palm and crush the dog into the stoney earth.
Gemini Man slams into the ground, Fusion on top of him, and rolls over and over in a tangle with the great bird. "Not much of a sport, are you? I was looking forward to seeing the countryside. Oh, well." He rights himself, and charges the reploid, then leaps up at him, trying to hit his midsection with a kick.
The mechahound unleashes a howl, barely emitted as he smashes down into the earth. Struggling beneath the massive weight, the dog's tail whirls and flashes, claws scrabbling against the steel.
Above, Bass lunges back from the giant's swipe, eyes flashing. "In my own time, reploid," he growls, buster arm molding swiftly. "In the meantime..." he says, jets blasting him into the air once again, hovering like a dark beetle before exploding into an arcing uppercut. "LET HIM GO!"
Fusion Phoenix is kicked as he is getting up, but his armor absorbs most of the blow. "Now it's not nice to kick someone once they're down. But I guess all of Wily's creations fight dirty, how else could you win!" With the taunt out of the way and back on his feet, Fusion uses his close combat weapon, and releases a rope of snaping, sparking electricty at his foe.
Conflict... Isn't it beautiful? The battle of good and evil, right and wrong, this and that. And most of all, the thing that sums it all up... sums up all conflict, all dispute. Black and white. It's all known quite well to one, Black and White more than the others as his very own colors seem to emulate this more than anything else. If it weren't for that week of down time, or that day by day slow process of regrowing synthetic flesh that was so violently burned from his body by not one, not two, but /ten/ Robot Masters- this man could have been doing something else with his time. Could have spent his time on things less trivial than revenge, but unfortunately. He's just not that fair a person. A white-hot stream of light barrels down out of the sky surrounded in hues of the deepest blue, all of it dropping into a pool on the ground not to far away from the raging battle where it backbuilds into a sphere of energetic power. Electrical storms break out along the surface of this sphere, spilling their discharges out along the gleaming ball until the whole of it collapses on itself only to form the figure of a six foot reploid who's helmet closely emulates a western Stetson hat. In one last flash of light that figure solidifies with a confident grin on it's face, eyes staring through a ruby-red visor that offsets the indigo blue of his eyes. The smug, bothersome and pesky Dynamo... has arrived. His hands raise ot his waist, gauntleted fingers claming onto his belt line just in front of the two holsters resting to either side of his middle, the third and final holster held behind him, no doubt housing that brutally accurate saber of his. That's right... he may have been defeated, but he's back. And more than angry.
A resounding *BOOOM* results as Bass's fist strikes out at Megalith's huge body. Slamming into the bearish jaw and causing his head to jerk back..but he does not release Treble. He frowns abit and narrows his eyes dangerously and simply rumbles as he starts to squeeze the robo-animal, "You were the one who started this battle. Call of your Master Companion and retreat! Hrrngh. For what end are you to be doing this? You prove nothing to me by doing this.." He straighten up and pulls Treble back and then tries to hrutle the dog at Bass. "Begone!" As he tries to throw Treble..the dramatic entrance of Dynamo arrives. Filling the air with it's energy and light and Megalith turns his attention away from Bass to eye the newcomer he is completely unfamliar with. "Vhat is dis?"
Gemini Man steps aside and turns, and the electricity shoots past him. As he dodges Fusion's attack, he notices, out of the corner of his eye, the new arrival. If it wasn't one of the Masters' favorite people? Oh, now that was interesting. Interesting enough to make him change targets? Not just yet. He shoulders into Fusion, attempting to tackle him eoto the ground, so he can put his attentions elsewhere. He's suddenly a bit dismayed that his clone has wandered off.
White eyes flare in sudden surprise; hound and Master jets both fire, blasting swiftly away from one another. Like calls to like however, and the two meet with a crushing blast of metal as the two arc off along Gigas' toss, splitting only when the two slam to earth, carving twin furrows across the ground. Neither rises, as yet...
Fusion Phoenix is tackled in the thigh. O_o oO(What is this guy thinking?) He shrugs, and takes the opertunity to kick out, to gain some manuvering room.
This new comer could be a robot master... perhaps a newer, taller one? He could be a maverick, cruel and haunting. He could even be a Repliforcer-- no... no he couldn't. That's just impossible. Then again, he could be another of Rockman's desciples, struggling for peace in a war torn world. Or he could just be an annoyance. The last option is probably the best one. Staring emptily at the battle raging in front of his very eyes, Dynamo just slides a hand along his waist opening one of the holsters and removing a pair of binoculars. Oddly enough he doesn't pick them up and put them to his face- no, he sets them down on a short brick barrier and presses a button atop them, the binoculars sprouting a set of spidery legs before crawling away, up the side of a nearby structure and stop, their lenses begining to record all that they see. Firestorm Phoenix comes drifting into the scene lazily, from the general direction of Sin City. Upon finding a place to land with a nice view of the battle field, Firestorm settles in to watch the happenings. Why might he take interest in this you may ask? That is quite simple, Sin City is run by mavericks, thus the Phoenix sits and watches. oO(Now what did I do with that thing of Jiffy Pop popcorn?)Oo Megalith Gigas glances back and forth and frowns as he looks between Gemini and Fusion's battle then to Dynamo and then over to the crumpled form of Bass and Treble. Not believe that the Master is down for an instant. He pauses and then reaches his huge hand up thumps it against his massive chest slightly. Bunching up the huge muscle there and creaking metal as well as flesh .. he then starts to lumber forward across the battlefield. MOving slowly towards Bass. "This is foolishness.." he declares. "Spectators..? Az if this be some sort of show to them? Bah." He makes no attack on Bass' prone form as he moves but slows down abit as he grows closer.
What's Gemini Man thinking? Simple...he doesn't think much of Fusion Phoenix, as the fact that he's chosen to fight "with handicap" plainly shows. As the leg kicks up he rushes underneath it, ducking and popping up behind the much larger reploid. He leaps up, grabs onto Fusion's shoulders, then continues the jump to pop a kick right at his head.
Fusion Phoenix has susprised people before, and has been suprised in turn. But while Gemini's attack does startle him, he responds quickly as he has been trained. oO(If they disapear from in front, they probably went behind)Oo So when Fusion looses track of the little Master, he claps his wings together behind him.
Rubble shifts as Bass rises from his semi-burial, courtesy of Gigas. Teeth show in a dark mask, hands clenching as the Neo-buster begins to shimmer, colors running like water across the dark form.
"Not bad," he says, black fading to white as gold creeps across the borders of his armor. "But nowhere *near* good enough!" Leaping to one side, the Buster explodes a second time; instead of plasma, an arcing shell rips free, boring down on the Giant before a hypervelocity corona.
Firestorm Phoenix pulls out what almost looks like a small sliver skillet, but it is in reality the most godly of creations, Jiffy Pop popcorn, as featured in Scream! Holding it by the handle with his right hand, Firestorm puts his left underneith it, a small flame springing to being in his palm. You'd think he'd get tired of standing there watching, but then again you wouldn't know just what drives Dynamo to do the strange things he does. In fact, the tall mercenary takes a comfortable leaning position against a wall, his back to it, one foot raised and placed against the wall behind him as he crosses his arms over his chest. "It's amazing what people will do out of anger." He says, more to himself than anyone else, his focused, concentrated eyes seeming to deny the aloof mannerism he displays now. In one sense he's a teenager, sluffing off at everything, in the other, he's a concentrated businessman, shrewd in every way and so very pragmatic that he'd stand by and watch a friend pummeled into a bloody mess until the proper moment for him to make a move came. If it didn't have a gain... if he didn't stand to gain something out of it, it just simply would not be done. Pragmatism was the key to his profession and he was the master of it. Dynamo's lips curl up on one side, smirking cockily, his silverish-white hair drapped over one shoulder and billowing at half-mast at his side.
Gemini Man is already over Fusion's head, however, as his alley-op continues. The wing slap comes too late, and Gemini Man lands neatly in front of the reploid. Before facing Fusion again, he bows, with a flourish, to the growing crowd. Then, he looks up, grins at them and to himself, and spins around suddenly with one leg up in a vicious kick.
"Hrngh!" Megalith rumbles loudly as the electiricty erupts into his massive body. Smoke and debris rising up from his form as in one strike he takes severe damage enough to cause him to stagger backwards and nearly fall. His optics flicker from the shortages and his entire form convulses from the energy as it rips through his frame and takes advantage of his vulnerable systems. Frownign he manages to pull back from the brunt of the assualt while clenching his enormous fists. His arm shakes violently and then he emits a rumbling, "Seiiiizzzzmic..Upper!!" And whips his massive arm around and upward in a tremendous uppercut. An invisible shockwave of force explodes from the swing and then splits along the ground and air in a violent arc for Bass.
Fusion Phoenix is getting annoyed with the dinking attacks of the little robot. "Why do you go on fighting us? Wily is dead and we'll cleac up the rest of you that don't surrender soon. Fusion pucutates this statement with one of his fists, aimed at the face.
Gemini Man is struck directly in the face, and shakes off the blow. It might have been more impairing had he had a nose. "Eh, you might like that. But I don't think the audience would find it very interesting." He raises his blaster arm. "Let's see what they think of this." Then, he shoots Fusion at point blank range.
"Hah!" Bass laughs, leaping aside from the ground-shredding wave. "Far too slow," he continues, grinning as the battle rises in full swing. Jets kick in again, reversing the Master's direction in crazed angles, cutting speed and direction with deadly swiftness. "Maybe you should grow eyes in the bakc of your head," he taunts, grinning savagely. "TREBLE!"
Risen up from his own dusty crater, Treble's silver-tipped tail flares brightly as the hound digs razor claws into the earth. Snarling, the dog aims, locks... and fires.
And thus the popping begins. Slowly at first, the pace gradually increasing as more and more kernals explode with violent release. The sound kernals bursting reaches a fevered pitch, maintaining this climax for several moments before finally subsiding. The last remnants giving way and then, silence.
"Hrngh!" Megalith rumbles as again the attack slams into his huge form. Biting into his back and blowing into his armor. Burning synthetic muscle and flesh as well. The bearish reploid stumbles and then brings his huge hands up. He spreads them wide and then slams them together. Producing a tremendous *BOOOOM* and disorienating shockwave that rips through the immediate area around himself and Bass.
Fusion Phoenix is struck a damaging blow for the first time, fortenletley it only harms systems with bakups. "Ouch." Fusion leveles his own cannon at Gemini Man, and fires a three round burst of liquid nitrogen.
Tilting his head to one side, Dynamo watches very closely the battle between Gemini Man and Fusion, taking special note of the movements of the terrorist Robot Master, closing gauging and clocking his speed, graphing his accuracy against this particular opponent and most of all, studying the way in which he attacks. None of these methods of scouting are in any way new to Dynamo, he'd always picked his enemies carefully when he could and in this case he could. Robot Masters attacking in swarms of ten was about as hopeless as any other endeavor that begins in you getting caught. Dynamo more than expected it. But in this case, he didn't necessarily have to get caught to pay them back. Again, however, Dynamo actually debates the purpose and reason for doing such a thing. It's not like it'd effect him either way if he took them out one by one. If anything, it would only put him in position for another gruop attack like before. It also wasn't conducive to continuing to run a rather incognito life. Without enemies one lacked the need to be especially cautious. He might just be saving himself trouble by not bothering. Certainly something worthy of thought. The maddening laughter continues, twisted in glee as Bass slams to earth, jets blasting a final time as he hurls himself back, riding the sonic wave; Treble simply turns, running from the sound, metal ears pressing close as it withdraws temporarily.
"You really need to take it easy," the Dark Knight remarks, landing with a crunch of steel. "All that weight might get to you; too much strain..." The Buster gleams brighter, energy swirling into the tip as colors shift, reverting to black and dark purple. "Let me help you get rid of some of it!"
Gemini Man flips backwards, and the attacks hit the ground in harmless succession. Gemini Man laughs, then aims his own gun at the spot where one of the ice bursts has frozen the ground. The layer of ice on the dirt shatters, but the white bolt continues its course, flashing up now, toward the phoenix.
Firestorm Phoenix pulls a small metal block out of one of his belt compartments and holds it over the the now opened and fully popped popcorn. Fire erupts around the container and its contents is made clear, butter. Fresh melted butter poors over the popcorn and once enough has been applied the container is put away. Now a second container, this one obviously a salt shaker. With the popcorn flavored all thats left to do is begin munching, which is exactly what Firestorm does.
Megalith Gigas raises a huge palm upward to take the brunt of the assualt. He grunts dangerously and narrows his eyes as the energy from the buster washes over his tremendous form. "The tide of this is shifting." he rumbles to himself as he notes the battle between himself and Bass as well as between Gemini and Fusion. Rumbling darkly he presses forward into the burst of energy and then starts into a slow run. Gradually picking up speed until at the last his massive legs pump and press his huge body into the air. The sight disconcerting to say the least as his huge figure is so massive that it seems to envelop the whole of the battlefield with it's shadow. He then begins to hurtle downward like a falling building. His monsterous figure looming closer and closer to Bass and the wide area around the Robot Master.
Fusion Phoenix gets hit again in the chest. oO(Damn it, I've got to finish this before he hurts me worse!) Once more he aims, but before he shoots, he screames, Anime style, "Fires burn within the ice!! Antipode Strike!!"
Dynamo ... just ... stares. Not at Megalith Gigas and his disgustinly unholy pain-pillaging attack upon Bass. Not at the Dark Knight falling into what could be called 'disrepair', not even at the dancing weirdo trying to sell him a cigar whom he promptly pushes away by the face... but he stares at Fusion. Shouting like a moron in the middle of noplace. "... Why am I constantly surrounded by weird, unstable people?" Dynamo suddenly hears a low voice from behind him, and feels a blaster press into his side. "Enjoying the show, Dynamo?" ...Bass falls in combat, unexpectedly, and Gemini Man is struck with a burst of fire and ice. The voice pauses, then, continues. "Damn. Don't answer that. Really. Just don't stop us from walking away with him." Overconfidence can ever be the adversary that brings the mighty to their knees... In Bass' case, it does far worse; energy pours from the Neo-Buster, maddened grin turning to a snarl as Gigas keeps coming... and coming... More power surges into the beam, hammering at the broad chest. As the Goliath leaps, the power surges greater, greater still. Even standing in the shadow of his landing, the torrent of white fire continues, as though to defy gravity itself and hurl Gigas away. Needless to say, some laws cannot be broken.
In the crushing silence around the Megalith-sized impact point, only the hammering of battle from Gemini's war continues on... Until the woosh of air whirling away, and the explosion of flame from a Hellhound's jaws. Treble returns, in full, blazing fury.
Firestorm Phoenix munches happily and lets out a bit of a cheer as Gigas smushes Bass. "Haven't seen this scene before? ... Oh yeah! ~o Ding dong the witches is dead. Which old witch? The wicked witch! o/~
Gemini Man falls backwards, struck by the attack, burned and frozen into system shock. At least his backup is here now. He stands, unsure whether to shiver or shout, doing a mixture of both. He starts to back up...shaking a little. then, his resolve settles, and he fires a blast that ricochets off the ground, flashing around the reploid targets with a white fury.
The funny part about this whole situation is the fact that Dynamo has been leaning against a wall observing for the longest time... and then it would seem, by some strange twist of fate some... /thing/ has managed to survive -inside- the wall. No matter, we'll just assume that something snuck up beside him. And it seems to be a Gemini Man twin. Dynamo, unfortunately, just cannot be snuck up on, at least not without a bit of doing and so it's no surprise that Dynamo's eyes cut sharply to the left, eyeing Gemini Man with a hint of contempt, though his general aloof manner never seems to change. He draws in a long, hissing breath before blowing it out in a peacable sigh, his head craning about at the neck to look at the robot master, his left eye winking cleverly as the master backs away upon being attacked by Fusion Phoenix. Dynamo watches the scene with little interest, turning his attention back to Gemini's clone, the one being attacked directly. "Strange days... Very strange days..." Megalith Gigas seems to fall in slow motion onto Bass. His massive arms spread out to the side and his huge chest burning and blistering from the torrent of energy from the buster. But yet he lands. Impacting with a resounding *BOOOM* that causes Bass to completely vanish from sight beneath the horrifically huge reploids body. It's like...watching the Fat Chocobo summon from Final Fantasy VII. Just a terrible fate. The behemoth simply lays there as if stunned he actually struck Bass and trying to find the robot master who lays somewhere beneath the enormous magnitude of his chest width and thickness. At least he didn't come down butt first. The Fire blast from Treble washes over him. Scalding him slightly but the dog unleashed the attack abit to soon perhaps as the brunt of it's assualt Gigas does not feel. The same with the Gemini Laser which blasts into the landscape around Gigas but doesn't actually do much damage to the russian bear monolith.
Fusion Phoenix's left side is savaged by the laser, but presses his advantage, firing another burst of plasma at the prone Genimi Man.
His little cheer done, Firestorm returns to munching, waiting to see how this fight ends, though its pretty clear with will be going to the good guys. Ofcourse if Firestorm were the mean sort, he could always hop onto the field and take advantage of all the wounded combatants, but luckly thats not his style, even if it would be fun.
The Hellhound's breath cuts off swiftly, prevented from doing true damage as the Gemini Laser rebounds from just before Treble's paws. Snarling balefully, the beast simply takes advantage of the provided situation: with a howl, the metallic beast leaps, pouncing down on Gigas' back, skittering to the shoulder, snapping at a looming cable.
Finally the mercenary makes a move, though this movement comes with another sigh, one raught of pure irritation and all of it directed at himself as he shifts his body, squaring his shoulders towards Megalith. His hands involuntarily clench at his sides into fists as he takes up an even, regal stride towards the remains of the battle... and unfortunately the remains of Bass. His thoughts of battle... of fighting- they all flutter away, replaced by the unfortunate but fair thoughts of rescue. A bitter, metallic taste developes in his mouth as he considers his own sense of honour... and regretfully, his thoughts of respect. Indeed, he'd had several 'encounters' with the Dark Knight in the past, but it certainly wasn't enough to detour him from setting out to anger the murderous android. Then again, he was just pesky. It was a part of his job... to find peoples quirks, to poke at them, to push his limits and test the envelope. In some strange sense it all worked out, at least for Dynamo. And now as he approaches the battlefield he's left with a sense of ironic displeasure which inevitably brings a smirk to his face, his head tilting down to look upon Megalith Gigas. "As much as I'm sure you'd like to, I'm afraid I'm not going to /let/ you arrest what's left of the fish." Wincing and taking a broad step back away from the fray of flying paws, Dynamo ducks under Treble's leap and sidesteps the ball of ferocious flying fangs. ".. That's just not right."
oO(We have to get Bass out of here.)Oo says one mental voice. oO(He has Treble,)Oo Gemini then thinks back at himself, oO(and we have an easy target. I'm busy. Don't just stand there. Either help me out, or get a scan.)Oo Gemini Man dodges the plasma attack easily, despite his damage, but he's no longer lined up for a proper shot on Fusion. Stepping away, he aims another strike at the ground. It's bound to hit something... Then, he looks at his counterpart, as if warning him to get out of danger or hurry himself up.
Megalith Gigas doesn't respond to Treble's attack as the dog goes to town on one of his enormous cable attachments. Tearing at the metallic coverings and shredding into some of the wiring beneath. Megalith just..lays there. Not even really feeling the attack as he tilts his head up to peer at Dynamo. "Who are you?" inquires his thick siberian voice. "Are you to be Robot Master? If so of type I am not familiar with. Da, I do not know if Bass will be arrested or his remains scattered or allowed to return to Doctor Wily's home. But I do not advise you attempting anything with me. I am injured but not enough to be incapable of defending myself." All this said as Treble continues to gnaw and make mealtime out of the behemoths cable couplings.
Fusion Phoenix breaks into winged persuit of Gemini Man, jumping over the bouncing laser beam (that goes on to hit the wall where Dynamo was standing) and shooting a laser beam of his own.
The black white and gold mercenary tilts his head down towards Megalith, his concentrated almost beautifully alert eyes twinkling with a hint of anticipation- burning with the fires of battle lust. He'd just love a reason to finish off what's left of Megalith, pushing his buttons probably wouldn't be the wisest move, especially since he held no love for that which he was driven to do now. To move Bass. You don't leave an enemy wounded- especially with so potentially dangerous. It completely destroys the challenge... quells the thrill of the hunt. Leaning forward ever so slightly, his hands on his hips, Dynamo's visage goes completely expressionless, his lips a tight, stern line across his soft featured face. "... Roll... Over." He isn't here to deal with anyones sense of defense or security or their lofty ideals of a better future. He's here for his own, personal depts... and one of those depts is making sure his revenge is just as sweet as it should be. By putting his enemies in his /own/ dept. "I won't tell you again. I'd like to leave this battlefield knowing I don't have another enemy, and I'm sure you'd rather not fight with anyone else as you're not looking that hot in the first place. Just do as I ask and we'll pass like two ships in the night, friend."
Gemini Man is missed by the lasers that stream toward him, and he rushes up and joins alongside his clone. "You didn't fire," he accuses.
Firestorm Phoenix hrms to himself at the turn of events occuring on the battle field. He really hates the robot masters and this new guy seems to in cahoots with them. Should he step forward and aid the repliforce? This a question that Firestorm takes some time to ponder on. Treble tears at the cable, snarling frustration as his the collosal Repliforcer proves far more... substantial... than even the hound's keen jaws can penetrate. Growling furstration, the beast takes a final snap before leaping off, tail curling like a silvered spike as it moves back.
Fusion Phoenix is blasted to the ground by the barrage of shoots. oO(Damn! I'll be in the repair chamber forever after this)Oc But the large avain forces himself back to his feet. Once there he shoots the last of his liquid nitrogen at the two Genimi Men in a broad spray.
"My combat capacity is currently within at least fifty percent. A battle would not be in your best interest either..." Megalith pauses and doesn't roll over just yet.. He seems to remember something. The true reason for him and Fusion being here and Fusion as well. There is more then Megalith at stake here. He simply meets the gaze of Dynamo with an unwavering eye but also fires off a radio message.
Gemini Man shouts! That really hurt, and he was no longer amused. It was definitely time to save his dignity, and that of his leader also. He rushes toward Fusion, his duplicate aiding him. Together, they leap and kick, one aiming high, the other low.
Firestorm Phoenix wishes he could hear the exchange between Gigas and Dynamo, but alas he can not, so he is left wondering whats going on. "Look, I don't have, like, /time/ to debate this. MOVE!" The Bounty Hunter snaps violently, his eyes squinting with a dangerous edge about them as they cut into piercing slits, the ruby visor about his eyes raising and disappearing into his helmet, almost unbelievably blue eyes staring back at the large Repliforcer. "Move... now." Dynamo's left hand disappears behind his back, only to rip forward in an instantaneous and fluid movement. Silk-like, flowing and without a seam or break in the action, ending in a blazing burst of pink and white hot heat adn energy, bursting to life on either end of Dynamo's hand, clearly holding the hilt of an energy bladed weapon, the dual saber's blades parallel to the ground. Likely the only dual ended saber in the world today, Dynamo looks down at the repliforcer again, holding his decidedly alien technology but /unthreateningly/ .. and quite obviously so. It's merely a gesture that insinuates that if he has to fight, he will and without dispute. "You may have taken down Bass... but please don't think yourself invulnerable. Especially at fifty percent. I'm /certainly/ capable of finishing what my similarly colored friend started." - Friend. Tch, if you want to call the man who wants to kill you 'friend', Bass certainly fits the bill. Dynamo reiterates... a final statement: "I'll say again: Roll over." Fusion Phoenix dodges the lower Gemini Man, but connects solidly against the other. This last attack is what puts Fusion out of this fight, crashing to the ground and rolling behind what cover he can find: that wall Dyanmo was standing by infact. Megalith Gigas rumbles, "My reason for fighting you would not be for victory...but for principle. I know that I would lose. But be mindful. Arrogance and being to self assured is what brough Bass down. He should have defeated me. But he forgot the past.. It iz sad. But this is the nature of Bass. To be driven by hatred and not learn..." He grimaces somewhat as he accepts his radio messages and then he simply stares at Dynamo.. He then nods his head and rumbles as he hears Dyanmo and then lowers his voice so the words are only between himself and Dyanmo. "But for you..I will move." He nods again to the final radio transmission and then presses his massive form upward as if doing pushups. Rumbling backwards and then rolling back and up to his towreing full height. Gemini Man touches the ground, then, a split second later, he touches the ground again, landing from his paired attacks. Both Geminis sigh, then exchange glances. One down...but the odds were not good. Not at all. Both of them look toward Dynamo and Gigas, and approach...slowly. With some regret, they disengage their weapons, and flank the hunter on either side, frowning at their unconciuos leader. The dark hound slips forward, eyes gleaming molten gold beneath the indigo crest. Upon (within) the ground, the Dark Knight lies in sparkling, electrified glory. Nails click against the earth as Treble slips alongside the Wily Twin, energy building slowly as the eyes begin to flare red. The mercenary eyes the large, unmoving mass of synthetic flesh and powerful muscle. He'd be a fool not to be awed by the sheer size of the reploid, but then again his arrogance is second nature... it will likely always be the forefront of his personality, leaving little room for things like being 'impressed'. He doesn't nod or smile or show any form of acknowledgement towards Megaliths words, he just huffs a heavy snort and steps down into the crater that remains upon Megalith standing... Staring down into the pit of the thing at the crushed and brutally damaged remains of Bass, Dynamo sighs. The dual ends of his saber retract with a hiss and crackle and the bounty hunter puts it away in the holster behind his back. At the sametime, he can't help but smile, not just at the fact that, again, he seems to have outlived Bass, but because of the pain. It's obvious... if Bass were at all concious, Dynamo having no idea if he is or isn't, he certainly must be feeling mind warping, delirious pain. It was poetically beautiful, the kind of thing that made Dynamo take a step back, sigh and stare in awe. The one absolute. No one is immune to pain in the right amounts. "If you were awake... I'd ask you what it feels like. What, exactly, being crushed feels like. In a sense, I know." Oh, yes, he knows. Having Hard Man drop on you from the sky is enough to do it. "But I'd just love to hear you say it... to describe to me the stinging, stabbing sensation ringing, itching and burning it's way through every inch of your synthetic flesh. It's blissful pain and infuriating defeat. It tastes like venom, doesn't it?" The mercenary chuckles darkly, nodding his head as his silverish white hair waves about his back. Finally Dynamo looks up to his left, and then to his right at Gemini, "Mmhrm..." Dynamo steps further down into the hole and kneels down beside Bass, pushing an arm under his middle and lifting the heavy finned machine up and onto a shoulder. He turns to face the three- Gemini, his twin and Gospel and snorts derisively. "Y'know... if I keep this up, I'm really gonna start to look bad." Megalith Gigas pulls to his feet and rumbles slowly. He brushes dust and debris off of his form and then limps slightly in the direction of Fusion Phoenix. His enormoush width pretty much shielding the Repliforcer from all but ariel assualt. He rumbles slowly and then intones to Fusion, "Will you be alright. Hrrn..sooo sorry. I was not watching you and Gemini Man closely." He glances up briefly to watch Dynamo and the others from his new position and then he says matter of factly, "Bass does not often suffer defeat. He will hound me now."
One Gemini steps into the crater. His image is disrupted slightly, and he flickers. Almost time. Treble snarls anew, tracking forward as his tail lashes a deadly stream. Claws rasp against the ground, one ear cocked towards Gemini, the other focused solely forward. Weapons gleam, humming even as the hellhound stands ready to simply strike, once more. Fusion Phoenix slowly gets to his feet. "It's not your fault sir, you were busy, and I knew what I was going into. I can get back to base under my own power at least." Firestorm Phoenix has decided to sit back and do nothing, as is obvious in the fact that he is... doing nothing. His popcorn gone, the flimsy skillet is crumpled up and stored away for later disposal and waits for this most interesting of situations to draw to a close. Megalith Gigas rumbles, "I am responsible for you. You fought well. Come then. The others can manage the repairs about this area. We must fall back." Turning at the waist and watching Gigas walk away, the heavy robot master on his shoulder, one of Dynamo's eyebrows ride high, absently wondering what /really/ prompted the bold reploid to give in to his request. He knew it certainly wasn't his sword. In all truthfulness, he was no Repliforcer.. nor a Zero and so swinging a sword, not matter how alien, just doesn't have as much shock effect. Brushing off the occurance with a snort, Dynamo turns to eye Gemini and watches the exchange between his twin just before Gemini asks something about a memento. "Memento?" Dynamo's eyes suddenly squint and his free hand, the right, snaps up, hand disappearing into his forearm guard with an audible, though muffled, mechanical *click*, the buster gem within it's barrel gleaming a brilliant greenish-white color, "Delete it!" He roars, eyebrows descending dangerously as he takes a step forward, shoving his buster barrel in Gemini's face, "I know what you did, delete it. Delete it NOW!" He snarls, ferociously baring his teeth, for once even more feral and less sophisticated than ever before... he could almost make Treble's snarling look like false anger. "I don't wanna have to keep your head as a souvenir..." Gemini Man's twin catches the unconcious Bass as Dynamo turns on his originator. "...Touchy, touchy..." says Gemini Man, glaring down the barrel of the blaster. He looks over toward a panel on his arm, slowly reaches for it... and pushes a couple of buttons. Then, he looks up. "Sorry. Better?" Like a dark bolt of thunder, Treble moves. Claws flash and energy flares as he steps towards Dynamo... and Bass. Howling to set the banshees aflight, the crimson beams flare, ignite, and begin sizzling into the ground, edging forward with slow deliberation. Firestorm Phoenix decides that he'shad his fill of this scene, it has become dull. Firestorm takes leave of the area, lazily returning to the skys from wince he came. He's sure to see these characters again on another day. "I'll tell you what." Dynamo says, a cunning smile wrapping around his smooth lips, "I'll give you the benefit of the doubt... but if I see another me running around, you can bet the next person I steal away will be you. And I guarantee you won't be found in one piece like your fortunate green friend." The mercenary, insinuating Quint, steps up the wall of the shallow crater, back onto even ground, he noticing the sounds of echoing sirens in the distance. "Mmph.. police." Turning back to look at Gemini, Dynamo harshly stares at the robot master, "I'll do my best to distribute your body into several ten ounce, police issue evidence bag-..." Dynamo stops, attention turning to face Treble before issuing an irritated sigh, gauntleted hand wrapped about Bass' middle tightening reflexivly, "Do your thing, sparky." Dynamo says as if an afterthought, waiting for Treble to change forms so he can give him what he's so upset about. "I'm not gonna keep him. What the hell would I do with him anyway? I'm sure he makes bad company as it is... let alone if someone pilfered him." The mercenary continues waiting, watching Treble. "Well, do what you do..." The red beams cease, leaving only the glowing scars of their passing behind. Silent as smoke the hound moves, collapsing as light flares, surrounding Bass. Another moment as the light fades, and only Magna Bass remains, hovering upon the wind. Purple eyes silent as ghosts, he simply arcs about, launching towards the sky... Gone, in heartbeats. Gemini Man's hologram flickers again, then vanishes, and Gemini stands alone with the irritated hunter. Watching the skies, he fears he has to take a ground route home. He looks back to the city, then tosses another glance at Dynamo over his shoulder before he begins to walk away.
