Image: A slinky, black-coated animal with the head, body, tail and forelimbs of a stoat, and six of a spider's eight legs glaring red against her coat, Stalker in beast mode strikes something less then a cuddly figure. In Robot mode she is more then twice as attractive. Sleek and graceful, she is still predominantly black. The red arachnoid legs fan out from her back, and -- together with the high set, inward curving ears -- are easily taken as Unicron's mark. The stoat's tail disappears to become an ice cannon and standard sword. Wide, luminous eyes narrow toward anger, but are offset by arching eyebrows that give a usual impression of half-confusion. A narrow, almost rodential jaw protrudes. For it's size and the small nose, it might look childlike, if not set in determination and anger. The overall appearance is of thinly veiled threat, or of naivety manipulated into malice, dependant on one's point of view.
History: Stalker was "raised" by an abusive, paranoid, Predacon mercenary named Bloodwing. Taught to use every advantage at her disposal, yet to doubt her abilities and expect failure in return for small mistakes, she ended her education a far cry from her stasis pod's origian function -- a Maximal Diplomat.
A chance encounter with a speeding panther brought her into the company of a motly crew who she immediately sold out when faced by a superior force. Under allegiance to the Predacon Revolutionaries, she was sent on a supposed suicide mission -- kidnapping Black Arachnia -- and returned victorious to a promotion and an "understanding" with fellow mercenary Sellsword.
Captured and put into the Maximal Justice system, Stalker was transferred to a Predacon prison, from which she won her freedom by fighting in the arena. Signing on with the Samuri Beetalion for an off-word mission, she was again thrown into the affairs of the group she had originally betrayed.
On Earth, Stalker was mistrusted by everyone except the engineer echidna, Edge. Shooting Silverbolt in an attempt to create a distraction for Beetalion caused a situation which allowed Edge to think he had saved her life, and caused him to become "responsible" for her in the eyes of the Maximals. Attempting to protect Sellsword in a combat between the Maximals and the Revolutionaries, Stalker was seperated from her "guard" and given all the opportunity she needed to rejoin the Predacons.
When -- several missions later -- the groups were seperated again during a fight with the Maximals, Stalker would awaken to find herself strapped to a wall somewhere in the tunnel system. Taking up an offer of power, Stalker was "personally" introduced to Tarantulas, and suffered a dark vision because of it. Waking to have Edge made her personal prisoner, Stalker briefly tortured, then sparked him. Seemingly abandoned by Sellsword, she saved Krakken's spark from Mirriam, and got a crash course in theology from Epitaph.
When the attempt was made to destroy the Tarantulas Virus, Stalker was at first somewhat neutral, but after encountering Tarantulas in cyberspace, she offered him refuge within her own processor.
Hunted down and dismembered by Maximal forces, Stalker was reconstructed by Tarantulas's drones, then prompted to enter the Transmetal II device, from which she emerged a fuzor...
Roleplaying hints: You don't get it. Why are all the Maximals (and most of the Predacons) out to get Tarantulas? It doesn't seem like he'd done anything so wrong. Slag, they won't even give the guy a chance to explain his side of the story! Then again, those were the same types of bot who were always trying to tell you who to be, what to think, and who you were. It's different now. You've got somebody in your head who understands, somebody with as big a stake in your survival as your own. Life looks better now that you have a goal, and now that you know there's somebody who wants to help and protect you. Let him take care of you; he's the first person to have a reason to notice what you do who doesn't tell you who or how to be. Sure, you know you're just a sorry, slag-up excuse for a mercenary, but Tarantulas doesn't seem to care. He's going to make your problems go away. Maybe you don't have all the answers, but you're sure he does. Listen to what he tells you. Treat him as if he were your commander, even though he insists on being reffered to as "partner."
You know... a lot. Probably too much, in fact. That 4/1 ratio of Pit to Matrix gives you all the justification you need to lack "humanity." Sparks fascinate you; you've destroyed one and saved another, and you don't seem to care where yours is going anymore. If you get a chance to play with one, go ahead and take it. Remember that the word weasel is tied to failure in your memory. It's tied to Bloodwing too. Don't let anybody call you a weasel, and try to make sure Tarantulas is the only one who ever realizes how often you say it to yourself. You're headed higher then you've been before. (Even if you don't know what you'd do with power once you got it.) You're going to show them. You're going to show them all.
Quotes: "Yessir."
"Yes si--eh... Yes, partner."
"I want them to admi -- to... I want to show 'em."
Timeline: Stalker's first appearance is in the episode "Running the Gauntlet." She begins her descent into true darkness in "Prisoner," gives Tarantulas refuge in "Virtual Journey," and becomes a Transmetal II Fuzor in "Dark Omens."
