Secrets and Lies

Before the Unicron-sent spy self-destructs, Eldred is able to download information from his memory. The images are sketchy at best, but the name Mindrazor comes up, as well as the organization that sent the infiltrator: a matriarchal group called the Daughters of Tarantulas. The group isn't sure whether the Unicron spy and the Predacon attack were connected, but know one thing: at least one group has a Transmetal II Driver. As they are heading back to question their current Predacon prisoners, they get more bad news. There's been an explosion over the city: a large one. Seems a shuttle went down en route to Warder HQ...meaning that Ravvok's friends were inside. The heroes grill their prisoners on every aspect. Sellsword, a Predacon mercenary, is willing to sell out his group if the Warders will let him walk, and tells what he knows. Upgrade's most likely the one that planted the charge on the Warder shuttle, and he's also the one with the political ties; Swiftsting, the Predacons' leader, provides resources. Sellsword's willing to lead the group across the Predacon border, if they fix him up. They leave him in the Maximal repair bay, while Pantora interrogates her prisoner. The angelfish is an ex-Maximal, and a one-time representative to the High Council. She left the Maximals for personal and political reasons, and seems to be a Megatron supporter, as are the rest of Swiftsting's allies. Finally, questions are brought to the fly, who's been around from the start, and less than patient. He's not as good at spitting out the truth as the others, but he eventually lets the dynamics of his group; he's been working currently for a Predacon named Code-hacker and a group of street kids, all of which wanted to capture the Autobot for better living through ancient technology. Ravvok returns to his HQ and speaks with Ordin Merrick, leader of the Warders. The group approves of the plan to capture the Predacons who have struck out against the Warders, and they also send extra back-up to watch over the greenhouse. Snitch is a Warder prisoner, and will be seen to accordingly.

Stampede, watching over Sellsword's repairs, talks with the Predacon about the next step and the border guards. He makes a few radio transmissions, deciding that the second Predacon might be better insurance, and looking to get the prisoner officially transferred to his custody. For now, she's been taken back to the greenhouse, and thankfully placed in a stream that runs through the back. While Eldred takes a break from building his new Autobot, all the talk about Megatron incites another flashback in Darkecho; the heroes agree they really have to see about fixing that programming.

Thundershot, concerned about his plant, has returned home, when he receives a call from Rahven of the Air Command. He's looking for Thundershot to re-enlist temporarily, on the chance that Thundershot, who's spoken recently with Optimus Primal, can help the Maximal government track him down. Mantisoar speaks with Lightbreeze, who has similar concerns; though stopping the Predacon violence is important, tracking down Primus's Covenant is even more so.
