Mantisoar, who is low on sleep, takes a fitful nap in the jamming zone. He only wakes up when the room is being attacked by Subcommander Windstorm and a squadron of troops, who have finally found where he is hiding the Autobot. The troops gang up on Eldred, dispatching him. Windstorm is about to deal with Mantisoar when Optimus and Pantora come into play. Even the monkey takes a few hits in the fracas, but the Subcommander calls his goons off when they have Eldred safely cuffed and secured. Optimus knows he needs to get his injured friends to an R-chamber, so they head back to his home, currently serving as base, and discover that Rahven has found where Optimus hides the Covenant of Primus. Optimus doesn't want to fire on a high-ranking officer, or risk damaging the book, but Pantora has no such compunctions. When Rahven shoots back, he misses and puts a steaming mark in the Covenant, enough to set off Optimus's temper. The fight's over after that, and the smaller Maximals crawl off for repairs. At Warder Central, Ravvok tells his friends about what he learned. They want to go on an Autobot hunt... Unfortunately, the Autobot is now in military hands. He is lead to a room on the satellite military base, and a compliment of other giant robots enters. When he awakens in a holding cell some time later, all he can remember is a flash of light and the name "Ariel."
