Links Page

While it's not in my best interest to allow you to leave, I certainly can't force you to stay. Below are some links that I find interesting, as well as links that helped me create this site.

Beast Wars/Transformers Links

The Beast Wars Transformers (Unofficial) F.A.Q. Page: Benson Yee's incredible Beast Wars web site. Don't let his modest title fool you; this site is about as official as you can get without making the toys yourself. It's guaranteed to have all the information you're looking for...and then some. A valuable resource to all Beast Wars fans.

The Beast Wars Anonymous Fan-Fiction Archive: "Anonymous," as in, "for addicts only." We're all credited for our stories. An extremely well-maintained fan-fiction archive that includes Readers' Choice Awards given out yearly. Unfortunately, no longer updated due to time constraints on the part of the webmaster (which I completely understand!), but still a great archive.

Zobovor's Multi-Faceted Transformers Site: A very ambitious site, attempting to cover every facet and episode of both the original Transformers and the Beast Wars series, including pointing out all the mistakes in episodes of both shows. (It's hard work; I know the feeling.)

Mainframe Animation: The animation geniuses who bring us Beast Wars, as well as ReBoot and War Planets, a couple other series that are definitely worth watching. I would love to work for these people some day. Includes a Beast Wars message board so you can vent your opinions.

YTV's "Beasties": The Canadian site. Not bad for an official homepage, this site includes a picture gallery, and is home to a lot of the character information I used in this document: fun, honest stuff that points out character relationships you have to look hard at to notice. Character files are missing the Season Three developments, but still a good source for earlier Chronicles (though I think they read way too much into Waspinator).

BigBot.com: A good stopover for Transformers news of all types, with information on both Beast Wars and the original series. Includes a link to the Bob Skir Beast Machines F.A.Q., (if you're into that sort of thing) and plenty of good action figure information.

Raksha!: If you want to be very amused, and more than a little bit scared, the Plumed Serpent can't be beat. Learn about how they "got the Decepticons all wrong" on Beast Wars! And find out, for the first time, what it's "really like" inside Soundwave's tape deck! (It's Utopia!) Raksha's a great girl with some really, really nutty viewpoints. Her unmatchable zeal has won me over.

Transformers: the Lost Years: For those that aren't into the Beast Wars scene, this is all about kicking it oldschool. The story: merely years after the Ark leaves Cybertron that fated four-million ago...Shockwave versus Elita One, and the second-strings of the Autobot and Decepticon armies. A MUSH with some hefty requirements, it's not for everyone, but allow me to humbly point out to any would-be interested that the Autobots need recruits!! If you DO stop in via Telnet, make sure you say hello to Elita One. She's a close personal friend of mine.

Gaming Links

B.J. Zanzibar's World of Darkness: The page that got the idea flowing. Here's where you'll find all the other great fan-created White Wolf adaptations, including systems for Highlander, Gargoyles, and Street Fighter, as well as some fun new Gifts, Totems, and other goodies for all your White Wolf games. Zanzibar's has a great links page on its own, so I won't bother repeating it. Check it out!

White Wolf Online: The offical White Wolf web site, an extremely useful resource for players looking for information on upcoming White Wolf books, games, and other information. The best feature: download Adobe Acrobat files of blank White Wolf character sheets, and avoid the line at the copy machine.

RPG.net: Well-rounded gaming resource. Emphasis here is on "traditional" fantasy gaming, but there are lots of articles and resources for all types of role-players and game masters.

The Gamer Jargon Web Site: Ever wonder what exactly your gaming friends are talking about? Now, with the help of this handy dictionary, you'll know! Just what your life was missing! Not only am I responsible for a few of these definitions, but I'm responsible for the only one that mentions Transformers. See if you can find it.

RPG Survey: Sometimes I answer the questions on this quite-amusing site, where people can go and tell stories about their characters without getting flamed. ...Though I did get flamed for what we did to Kitfox.

Secrets of Cybertron Web Sites

The Bowling Green Gaming Society: The totally awesome BGSU Gaming Society: the original home for all of the updates regarding our personal Beast Wars campaign. Not updated as frequently as this page, but has campaign updates with even greater detail, and a list of favorite quotes. Maintained by Kevin "Stahldrache" Barry, who claims that Stahldrache is the one that embellishes the updates.

Howls to an Empty Sky: Web-based diary of Lacy Conley, player of Stalker/Otternaut. Browsing the archives gives a player's insight to SoC, as well as the occasional comment from the stoat herself. A testament to how addictive playing Beast Wars: Secrets of Cybertron could be.

Other Links

X-Entertainment: These people love Beast Wars. They love Transformers. They also love Star Wars, TMNT, oldschool Nintendo, Saved by the Bell... And if you click on the link, you can find out why. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. While you browse the archives, check out the Beast Wars interview with head writer Larry DiTillio: turns out his favorite character is the same as mine.

KC and Samus's Ninja Turtles: My fabled "other site." Very narrow range of topic, and no "Links" section, so don't expect that site to link back here. No recent updates on my part, but a very impressive episode list, as well as an RPG adaption (less to it than this one, but it still works well), and a Collectible Card Game. The site to visit for fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon series.

The Gargoyles Fan Website: I was an active Gargoyles fan for a very long time. That show is "over," too, but it still lives on, and this site proves it! Has just about everything a Gargoyles fan could look for—a good episode list, and tons and tons of fan-fic. Look me up while you're browsing the 'fic section.

Icy Brian's Chrono Trigger Page: SquareSoft is my favorite video game company, and, a few years ago, I wrote a few fan-fics regarding their Super Nintendo masterpiece, Chrono Trigger. Those stories are archived at this site, and remain my most popular writings today. But, when you're sick of hearing me brag, do browse the rest of the site, which is chock-full of information about a really great video game!

The Metroid Database: My usual on-line nickname is "Samus." Here's why. This is the web site for Metroid information, the classic Nintendo game featuring the galaxy's coolest bounty hunter and one of my personal role models. Look for news as it breaks, as well as art, gaming info, and the occasional hidden "Easter Egg" fun files. Metroid is coming back!!

WWWF: The Grudge Match: One of my favorite non-work-related distractions. Make no mistake: this is the original "Celebrity Death Match," where characters and people from every walk of everything go head-to-head to prove who is the King of the Web. You vote to see who wins each fight, and readers submit responses on why they've chosen who they have. Hilarious fun.

Web Site Number Nine: I like fan-fic as much as the next person, or more, but sometimes it can really hurt. Watch as fans of the television show Mystery Science Theater 3000 give bad fan-fic its due. Transformers fan-fiction is certainly not immune, so do search the archive for some of Transformers's "Hall of Shame." If you don't find the right fan-fic given the right punishment here, there's a huge links section. I found the Predacons doing a MSTie somewhere around there, and a couple versions of the Transformers movie.

I SoulBond: Yes, I coined the term. But I didn't start the fire. As an advocate of SoulBonding as a way of life, I'd definitely argue that it's been always burnin' since the world's been turnin'... But Lyn here is the one that held a candle in the flame and passed it around. Don't think we're crazy, now: this is one of the most fascinating role-play/writing-based World Wide Web movements around.

If you know of a link that would look good in my Links section, you can mail me, and let me know. Please only submit links related to Transformers or White Wolf; I have enough micellaneous links listed here! Your suggesting a link does not guarantee I will use it, as I only link to sites I personally am willing to visit again and again.
