Image: Waspinator's two modes are very similar. In either, he is green all over, with a yellow and black striped insect abdomen complete with stinger. He has great big bug-eyes, and antennae—a face that can't decide whether it's menacing or child-like, but leans toward the latter. He is somewhat smaller in wasp form, perhaps the size of a large dog, still decidedly too large to be a natural animal.
History: Megatron was looking for a few good troops to head the new Predacon rebellion. He saw a certain amount of possibility with you; you had good scouting abilities, and were very eager to please. More importantly, your innocent veil of incompetence belied a near-indestructibility, something useful for a Predacon he planned to send in on all his frontal charges. Having no where else to go and thinking you saw a good opportunity to move up the social ranks, you signed up with the force.
When the Predacon mission was interrupted by Maximals, you continued to see oppurtunites. You're determined to be the best Predacon you can be, and you often do a fair job of disrupting the Maximal forces. However, the other Predacons see you as a minor player at best, a decoy at worst...you're frequently left to your own devices on the battlefield, even (especially) when injured.
Roleplaying hints: Speak in third person. Always. And buzz. Megatron is a trusted friend: Yay! Someone finally realized how great you are (he actually seems to like you, even!). You're always "stuck" doing jobs with Terrorsaur, and, later, Inferno. Terrorsaur is somewhat of a buddy, but you resent Inferno because he was promoted so quickly. Weren't you here first?
You have the innocuous habit of applying pet names to folks you're less familiar with: there's Spider-bot and Ant-bot and She-bot...the Maximals have Rat-bot and Lizard-bot and Kitty-bot and Tiger-bot and Bird-bot... Protohumans are funny Squishy Fleshy-bots.
As of now, your abilities, odd as they are, are being exploited. You have certain flashes of inspiration where you realize this, and complain frequently, but you are ignored. The rest of the time, you hang out, eating too much sugar and waiting for the orders that might (maybe this time) lead you to glory. Above all, speak in third person, giggle, and buzz.

Timeline: Waspinator is a good, loyal Predacon in the first season. A single exception occurs when his body is posessed by the ancient spark of Air Commander Starscream in "Posession," but this can't be blamed on him.

Roleplaying hints: There are very few changes in the demeanor of the poor little lackey, this season. Waspinator begins to show a few glimmers of understanding, when he realizes the importance of the Beast Wars and their location in time and space. However, he remains loyal to Megatron, and disliked and occasionally pitied by the Maximals he so often loses to.
Timeline: Surprisingly, Waspinator is one of the first to realize that the Beast Wars are indeed taking place on planet Earth. Though he may occasionally understand more than he lets on, Waspinator is a loyal Predacon troop throughout the second season.

Roleplaying hints: You're just now figuring out that this trip was just not all it was cracked up to be. How come you're always the one that gets shot? Sure, you get better, but it doesn't feel good in the meantime. If you're so "expendable," how come you're still around? What do those other guys have that you don't have? You've been here since the beginning of it all, and, slaggit, you've been good, too. What are you going to have to do to get noticed for your talents?
You're getting a lot wiser to the situation now. You haven't lost any of your vocal quirks, but the brain behind them is just a little smarter than the one that came into this mess. Maybe if you belittle the others and point out their failures, Megatron will finally give you that promotion? Or...maybe if you just give up, someone else will like you better.

Timeline: A fitting end for the wasp that just wanted a swift social climb: in "Nemesis," Waspinator, fed up with his frustration, leaves the Predacons for good. The early humans accept him not only as their ally, but their new leader, and he remains on planet Earth for years to come.
