Image: Cheetor's spots, which decorate his hide in his cheetah mode, carry over and cover the body of his robot mode, right down to forming a pattern like freckles on his youthful face. He has wide yellow optics, and a golden helmet of a head, crowned with the semblance of cat-like ears. The cheetah body, which opens up when he transforms, is carried, forelegs and all, on his back, while his back legs extend into robot feet. His blaster, in fact, is composed of some of the inner workings of the cheetah form. The joints of his body have silver detailing, and his beast mode head rests on his chestplate.
History: Your first interstellar trip! It was already guaranteed to be a doozy, and you were sure something big was going down when you signed on with the Maximal exploration crew. You looked up to Optimus right away-with a commander like that, how could you lose? The trip turned out to be even more interesting than you expected: Predacons shot down the ship over some weird planet, and the whole place turned into a battleground. You can't wait to hit the front lines...sure, it's not very "Maximal Peace Code" of you, but...it's so exciting!
Roleplaying hints: Don't let the others treat you like a kid just because you're enthusiastic. After all, you're part of the crew, too, and you're just as good a fighter as the rest of them. You follow Optimus's orders to the letter...for the most part, though occasionally keeping you in rank is more like disciplining a teenager than an officer. Optimus is your "Big-bot;" don't let those Predacons get away with giving him any grief. It's clear to you who the "good guys" and "bad guys" are, and who the winners and losers will be.
The nightmares? Oh, those come and go; it's no big deal. A lot of times you dream you're back on Cybertron. Sometimes you dream you're tougher than you actually are, like you used to be someone a long time ago, even though you're not that old. Most of the time you dream, you're weak as a kitten.
Later in the first season, Cheetor develops special attachments also with Tigatron and Airazor: Airazor whose spark he helped nurse to health, and Tigatron, whom he often calls his "Big Cat."

Timeline: Cheetor stays with the Maximals, despite a large number of physical changes over the next three seasons. The Maximals realize both his unpredictability and invaluability very early on ("The Web"/"Equal Measures").
Note: The "Nightmares" Flaw was added to this sheet simply because Beast Wars writers love to give Cheetor all the plot-developing dream sequences. That's got to be a serious burden. The "Past Spark," of course, comes from all the Hot Rod similarities. YTV seemed to fancy Cheetor as somewhat of a musician, which was fun, so I did put a couple of points in Performance even though that never pans out on the show.

Image: The Transmetal Cheetor is mainly silver and gold, with some workings of aqua blue. The spots are generally faded from the feline body, save their brandishing across the chest of both Cheetor's modes. The freckles on his face have now given way to a psuedo-goatee on his chin. The cat's face, which is silver, splits in half to form his hands, which are clamp-like, with only a finger and thumb. Cheetor holds the head halves together to fire a plasma blast from his forearms. Rockets extend from his beast mode back which allow him to fly and give him increased air speed.
History: When the Transwarp explosion hit the planet, which you now know to be Earth, you were transformed into one of the first Transmetals. The alteration granted you the power of rocket-aided flight, as well as a super-shiny new coat. Being on the mission has taught you a lot, and you have been doing your best to aid the Maximal team by running patrols, following orders, and—most importantly—stomping Predacons.
Roleplaying hints: Cheetor is slowly working his way into adulthood, but he still has a ways to go. Experiment with the ideas of freedom and responsibility: Cheetor now has to decide when he is truly a soldier, and when he is still a teenager. You want to be ready to run missions on your own, but you often have to fall back on the more experienced team members, especially Optimus, when the situation is simply too much for you to handle (as it often is). The alien abduction of Tigatron and Airazor, so much like family to Cheetor, leaves him with a somewhat greater understanding of the dangers of war, and the demise of Dinobot drives it home. You also will occasionally bump elbows with Silverbolt—by all accounts he should be considered "newer" and even "younger" than you are... and the idea of a relationship with a female, like Blackarachnia, is beginning to interest you...
Timeline: Cheetor becomes a Transmetal in "Aftermath," and remains in that form until "Feral Scream" in the third season. Tigatron and Airazor vanish in the episode "Other Visits," and Blackarachnia joins the Maximal group in "Optimal Situation" (two of the many important events which alter Cheetor's ever-changing perspective).

Image: As a Transmetal II, Cheetor has finally reached adulthood. His new body, both in beast and robot modes, is a patchwork of fur and exposed circuits, decorated with cheetah spots and razor-like edges. He has almost hunched shoulders in both modes; in his beast mode, the jet engine which both allows him to fly and reach supersonic speeds on land and in air gives his bent back a prehistoric appearance. This engine is one in the same with the fusion rifle he carries in his robot mode. Even his robot mode face has the features of a cat, including pointed metal ears and a small beard of cheetah fur. His robot mode body is at once sleek and assymetrical. His arms are long for his body, and his hands adorned with sharp claws which carry in both modes.
History: Attempting to remove the power source from one of Megatron's obviously insidious devices, you were caught in an overload. For a while, your nightmares began to increase, your body altering in strange ways from exposure to this energy. You would later discover that the device you took from Megatron was alien in origin: the Transmetal II Driver used to create Megatron's new Dinobot clone. Finally, as you noticed you were manifesting unusual powers, you burst out into a new, Transmetal II body. The body and its energy were difficult to handle, and, when you transformed into your beast mode, you would often forget yourself entirely. Luckily, Optimal Optimus was still there for you, reminding you of your Transformer nature and helping you hold onto your senses in your newfound form.
Roleplaying hints: You became a new person when you discovered Transmetal II. Though it isn't always something you can handle or control, your new body is a source of pride. You see yourself as a full adult now: even your voice has dropped. On your better days, you are certain, self-assured, even cocky. Irritatingly enough, Blackarachnia hasn't fallen for you in your new form, and you sometimes see Silverbolt as a rival to her affection, despite the spider's seeming lack of interest in you. You still have a lot of energy to burn off, and even moreso now that it is Transmetal II energy. Cheetor will occasionally regress to flashes of his younger personality—the Maximal with the childlike wonder who acts before he thinks. You've made friends among the protohumans, as well, as you try to set yourself up as a kind of father figure for them, the same way Optimus has done for you. In the meantime, you're a little irritated by older members of the Maximal team, who are slow to realize your passage into adulthood, and you often feel that Optimus's mentoring of you is no longer required. You have extreme feral instincts in this body, and, even when fully coherant, will usually drop to beast mode at the sign of an oncoming combat, using your speed, teeth and claws as your primary weapons.

Timeline: Cheetor goes through the process of becoming a Transmetal II in the two-part episode "Feral Scream." In "Other Victories," he helps usher Tigerhawk into the Maximal team, and becomes the only living Cybertron to witness the Vok aliens. In "Nemesis," he returns to Cybertron with the other Maximals.
