Image: Silverbolt's beast mode is a grey wolf with the wings and talons of an eagle. Feathers, gold and silver, flare from his wings and down his back, where he has an eagle's tail above his wolf's back paws. In robot mode, he retains the wings, the tail riding on his back and his talons becoming his feet. His body has the appearance of a full suit of armor, with the pelt of a wolf draped over the shoulders. He has five-fingered hands that seem as metal gauntlets. His robot mode face is a bit more canine than lupine, with expressive golden optics, and the ears of a wolf. When attacked, he shoots feathers, which double as missles, from launchers on the ends of his wings. He can also pull feathers from the wings to use as hand-to-head weapons, wielded as swords or javelins. His spark casing, a gold-orange circle on his stomach, is clearly visible; it might be simple enough for an opponent to attack him there, if they ever got past the wall of blades in front of it.

History: You awoke in a stasis pod, next to another stasis pod, in the middle of a storm. Something was wrong; you, at first, were not quite sure who or what you were. Your companion tried to pick a fight with you; your only choice was to retaliate. Finally, you were found by a person who called himself Megatron. He told you that you were a Predacon, and a member of his unit. It didn't take you long to realize that he was not telling you the truth. There was a group of people called Maximals that respected you as their own, and, in no time, you were a trusted member of an army set to destroy evil and save the planet from the Predacon offense.
You made an unusual discovery: the Predacons, evil as they are, have a female in their midst who came from a Maximal stasis pod, like yourself. Because your code does not allow you to harm a female, you refuse to fight with her, and now see it as your primary duty to rescue her from the other Predacons. You reason that she is a prisoner, and her unwillingness to leave them will fade, within time.

Roleplaying hints: Silverbolt is a paladin, and every inch of "Lawful Good." He will never allow evil to gain the upper hand...but he will never harm an innocent, even if it means putting himself in danger. He instinctively sees all women as innocent, and, therefore, he cannot harm them. You won't be able to hurt Blackarachnia, even if she is hurting you...and she will. Silverbolt is given to glorious heroic speeches, ranging from poetic to downright cheesy, and mostly leaning towards the latter. Don't enter a fight without sounding a battlecry. In arguments, make your point with a flourish. Rattrap sees you as an easy target for verbal battering, but you don't let him get to you too much. Sometimes, he even leaves himself open for a comeback, and though you believe jousting with words is perhaps not their best application, you can still undercut a snide remark.
Silverbolt has a very black and white definition of good and evil, and will fight hard for what he believes in. He stands by his code, even when it means subordination.

Timeline: Silverbolt premieres in "Coming of the Fuzors," and joins the Maximals in the second half of that episode. He meets Blackarachnia in "Tangled Web," and begins to fall for her in "Bad Spark." Following her lead in "The Agenda," he is the first Maximal to enter the volcano and discover the Autobot Ark.

Timeline: Silverbolt gains the "True Love" Merit at the start of the third season, when Blackarachnia leaves the Predacon force in "Optimal Situation." Blackarachnia finally declares her affection for him true when she becomes a full-fledged Maximal in "Crossing the Rubicon." As part of the victorious party at the end of the Beast Wars, Silverbolt (and his lady love) return to Cybertron at the end of "Nemesis."
