Image: Megatron in beast mode is a tyrannosarus with purple scales and a green-streaked back. His feet and legs are powerful, his arms small and weak, but useful for dramatic gesturing. He has an enormous head with sharp teeth and glaring eyes, which becomes his right hand in his robot mode. His feet in robot mode do not change from those of his beast mode, but black, more powerful arms emerge from his torso. His distance weapons are all contained within the dinosaur head. His left arm becomes the dinosaur tail, and houses his only hand. His face is aristocratic, and stern, though it is carriage more than facial features, which make him at all resemble the Megatron of old. Megatron is broad-shouldered with a confident stance, and while a political mastermind, he is by no means lost on the battlefield.
History: Yourself, a Predacon general extraordinare, were bothered greatly by the Predacon Alliance's lack of open rebellion against the oppressive Maximal regime. Rather than continue to serve under an Alliance which plotted silently and worthlessly while kissing Maximal skid, you decided to strike out, and take a chance at Predacon freedom...not to mention Cybertronian domination. Taking the name Megatron upon yourself as an open act of rebellion, you gathered together what you hoped would become an elite force of rebel Predacons, and stole the important Maximal artifact known as the Golden Disk. With your ship at full-power and illegally Transwarp-equipped, you attempted to use the Disk's files to navigate your way to Planet Earth, where the power of the Disk would allow you to alter the future and change the destiny of Cybertron forever. However, you and your crew were intercepted by a Maximal exploration ship, and shot down over an unknown planet. An argument with one of your followers, the warrior called Dinobot, caused you to be short one crew member instantly upon arriving. Re-evaltuating your plans, you decided to take advantage of the planet you had found by forcing all the crew to choose secondary modes based on local life and mine the planet dry of its plentiful natural energon. All the while, you'll have to deal with Maximal interference, until you finally manage to destroy them.
Roleplaying hints: You are the ultimate in cunning, aristocratic evil. You are greedy and tyrannical, but suave and sophisticated. Keep a careful eye on your followers; all Predacon commanders do, as they are all, naturally, out to take your posistion. In beast mode, you punctuate your best declarations with wide hand gestures; in any mode, a mellow British statement is followed by a sonorous: "Ahhhh, yeeeesss." Megatron is just as much an active villain as he is a decadent one, so don't be afraid to make an appearance on the battlefield if the Maximals are planning an assault. Still, be cautious with your all too important self, and send the underlings to do the dirty work...keeping in mind that their failure is utterly intolerable. You are fastidious about keeping yourself clean and comfortable, and you all too often give orders from your floating lounge bridge chair, or even the R Bath.
Quotes: "Excellent. Yeeesss."
Timeline: The Predacon ship crashes and Dinobot leaves the Predacon team in the first episode of the series. Megatron leads the Predacon rebels throughout the first season, trying many varied tactics to overcome the Maximals.
Notes: "Ordinary" creation does an even worse job than usual when creating this particular character. Storytellers should only use this sheet if they are fanatical about "keeping it even" from the start; otherwise, use the Complete sheet below for all Season One scenarios.
Also note that the character's class size has been slightly altered; though the action figure when released was an Ultra, not a Mega, I justify the drop in class by the scale of the Megatron character on-screen on the TV show when compared to other Ultra-class characters such as Rampage.

Spark Location: Solarplexus
Vehicle Mode: VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Land) Unit
Procedures: Transmetallize
|
Image: A deep royal purple is still the principal color on the tyrannosaurus body, framed by bronze, and black in the robot mode. Megatron now has two hands in his robot mode, but attaches the dinosaur tail to either arm to create an attached cutlass blaster. His face is more intense in color, with magenta optics, but has the same structure as before. His dinosaur feet carry over into both modes, but (in either mode) can also produce wheels which are a portion of Megatron's new "vehicle mode," where he flips rockets out from the side of his dinosaur mode for both flight and increased land speed.
History: When the Transwarp explosion from the destroyed alien device rocked the Predacon base, you were in the center of the burst. When you rose again to your feet, you found your body changed into a Transmetal form, making you an even more efficient weapon against the Maximal regime. It wasn't long after that when the ultimate revelation was made: with the loss of the phantom "second moon," the planet your ship had found did seem to be Earth, after all. The Golden Disk in your hands has the power to change the past, present, and future of Cybertron, and you hope desperately to make that a future where Predacons, with you as their leader, rule Cybertron.
A message from the original Megatron, your namesake, which is encoded on the Disk, intrigues you. Megatron offers up the access codes to the Autobot Ark, and suggests that any bold time travelers from the Decepticons' future could win the Great War by taking the codes and using them to destroy Optimus Prime during his 4-million-year slumber. This move would destroy any Maximals descended from Prime and his followers. This drastic option frightens you somewhat; another, simpler solution might be to prevent the evolution of Humankind, as without their aid the Autobots would not have been the winners of the Great War.
Roleplaying hints: Being Transmetal has given you a lot more power, but hasn't changed your attitude about the importance of acquiring more. Your speech mannerisms haven't changed either, but the speeches have certainly gotten longer. You realize now the epic value of your situation on Earth: as a simple search for energon has become a war that will tear aside time itself. You've realized yourself as a great leader with a grand vision: a vision dark and dangerous for the future of the Maximal race, but glorious for the Predacons who would follow you to victory.
Because killing Autobots in the past wipes out the Maximals in the future, including any Predacons created from Maximal protoforms, the actions you plan to undertake may damage your followers as well as your opponents. Therefore you must be more cautious than ever when finding ways to deal with them. The occasional compliment may be the most effective form of persuasion, and a phrase seasoned with good will can cause even the most disloyal follower to seal his own doom. There are still times, however, where the iron fist is required. It should also be noted that Megatron takes special care with Inferno, whose undying loyalty is a valuable asset; and has special contempt for Tarantulas, whose role as a spy for Tripredicus Megatron is more than aware of, but can do little about. He is also increasingly suspicious of Blackarachnia (she is a female, after all).
Quotes:
"Ahhh, my happy little band...ready for the start of another glorious Predacon day?"
"I will destroy the Maximals...and the Autobots, too!"
"Why, Dinobot! What a delightful surprise. Let's see...where are we now? I have the Golden Disk, I have the power to change the future, and the only remaining obstacle between myself and unimaaaaginable glory...is yourself."
"I enter now these hallowed halls... A conqueror... Yeeess..."
"The universe cowered once at the name of Megatron, and it shall do so again!"
Timeline: Megatron becomes a Transmetal in the episode "Aftermath." He realizes that he is on Earth in the episode "Coming of the Fuzors," but in that same episode, Dinobot recovers the Golden Disk, and Blackarachnia destroys Megatron's backup files, after downloading a copy for her own uses. Megatron has an encounter with a powerful Vok device in "Other Visits," and first reveals his plans to destroy the Autobots as well as Maximals. Dinobot returns the Golden Disk to Megatron in "Maximal No More." In "Code of Hero," Megatron tests the Disk's ability to predict changes in the future, and attempts to destroy the world's first proto-human tribe to prevent mankind's evolution. Though Dinobot perishes while defending the protohuman valley from the Predacons, the Disk is shattered to fragments. The largest fragment contains part of Megatron I's original message, which the Predacon Megatron shares with the Decepticon Ravage in "The Agenda," before Ravage is destroyed. Megatron finally makes an assault on the Ark itself during the three-part "The Agenda" at the end of Season Two. Though this assault is not successful, Megatron will continue to make attempts to reach the Ark, and destroy the Maximals and the protohumans, throughout the third season.
Note: Megatron's Rank on planet Earth is very virtual by this point, as it does effect how his followers are supposed to respect him but would likely be stripped if he were to return to Cybertron.

Image: As a dragon, Megatron is a vivid red, with purple and gold accents. He has a long neck, and his toothy maw breathes fire and ice. He has antler-like horns on his head, a vice-grip at the end of his powerful tail, and lacy purple wings that follow him into his robot mode. In robot mode his face, though darker, is still the same. His dragon's tail hangs from the back of his head like a headdress. Dragon's claws are still on his feet. His right hand is five-fingered, but his right hand is the head of the dragon, still capable of firing its breath weaponry. The two sparks he carries are in a circular cavity in the center of his stomach.
History: When allowed access to the Ark for a second time, Megatron was determined not to waste the opportunity. After observing Optimus Primal as he combined himself with his ancestor to become more powerful, Megatron decided that a combination with his own ancestor was a worthwhile goal. He accepted the spark of the Decepticon Megatron into his own body, and struggled with it as his ancestor, even in sleep, fought back. Tarantulas and Quickstrike formed a plot to destroy him during his merger attempt, and he was tossed into the volcano surrounding the Ark. However, the Megatron sparks then merged at last, and Megatron, once a tyrannosaurus, became a red dragon.
Roleplaying hints: Megatron...Megatron... Now, you are Megatron at long last. More than just a name, you are that person, the legend come to life, and with a killer's mind. You are violently obsessed to see the Maximals destroyed, willing to demolish anyone who would stand in the way of your ultimate path to victory. You've felt the rush of power through your body and you want more; you want to conquer Cybertron and destroy it in flames from the dragon's tongue.
Standing back and looking at yourself you see you've changed, but such contemplative times are few and far between. You are still calculating and smooth, "yesss," but the calm that rests on the surface too often now gives way to fierce anger as you struggle to hold back your ancestor's greater power, which threatens with each passing cycle to devour your own spark and wrench control of your body. You're convinced the merger was a choice that will make you a legend in your own lifetime, and the speeches you still give reflect your obsession with the legends of Megatron and the faith you have in your place in them.
Quotes: "Treachery requires no mistakes!"
"Did you really think you could stand against the full fury of both Megatrons?"
"I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I am that which is, that which was, and that which is yet to come. And you will know my name is Megatron, when I cast my vengeance upon thee!"
Timeline: Megatron joins with his ancestor in the eleventh hour of the Beast Wars, in the episode "Master Blaster." In the three episodes that follow, he carries the spark of Megatron I in his body, until it is finally returned to his rightful owner at the end of "Nemesis." (Note that the scene was removed from the final cut of the episode due to time constraints, but it is canon. I base Megatron's spark location on this scene rather than on the action figure.) During the two-part "Nemesis" series conclusion, the effect of the second spark becomes more and more evident as Megatron pilots the Decepticon warship and goes increasingly mad.
